The story behind the MV... As I understand it, one girl is being haunted by the ghosts of 5 girls who were killed in different ways. The 5 ghosts force the girl to relive how they were killed, over and over again. The twist comes in the last scene, the one with the axe. At this point the girl is convinced that this is just another illusion brought on by the ghosts. That is why she sits there calmly as the axe swings towards her face. Unfortunately, she's been tricked and the axe is real. Not a happy ending...
Ok! I got you! Nature is a 9 member girl group under nCh Entertainment. They debuted in august 2018 with their 1st single Girls & Flowers, and the title track Allegro Cantabile (a remake of an anime opening). Just before debut, the leader left the group, so they decided to continue with the debut, and debut as 8 girls only. In November they released their 2nd single album called SOME&LOVE with the title track some(you’ll be mine). Loha joined this era, Nature were a 9 member group again! Later in January 2019 they released an MV for their Bside Dream About You. In June they came back as 8(Gaga was put on hiatus) with their 1st mini album I’m so pretty and the tt with the same name. This is my absolute fav! Later that year, Gaga left to focus on studying and Sohee was added. She ranked in the top20 of produce 101! They came back in october with their second mini, Nature World: Code A, and the title track Oopsie My Bad(Zimzalabim’s lost sister), but another member, Aurora, was put on hiatus because she decided to participate on chinese program Youth With You. In June of 2020 they came back as 7 (Loha was on hiatus for health reasons) with their 3rd single album Nature World: Code M, and the tt Girls. Member Sunshine injured her leg while filming the MV so that’s why there’s only 6 girls in the dance scenes. In 2021, Loha and Aurora came back from hiatus, and now Nature is 9 again, and they are preparing for a comeback so stay tuned! Ty for reacting to them!
They rarely had a comeback with all members but what amazes is that the company us allowing them to be on hiatus. I don't know if the ent treats them well, but I'm glad that the company is not pushing them too hard
@@astradarius no it hasn't been announced, but they haven't had a come back since last june, and now that all 9 members are back together it can be assumed they have started preparing one

Y’all were asking about the lyrics, here’s a quick brief from what i remember: basically they’re saying, “i become a girl in front of love”. sounds a bit weird, but what they’re implying is that when in front of love, they kinda become naive or crazy in a way. like love makes them “lose their minds” in a sense, playing into the concept of the MV.
Nature Girls was my most surprising track last year. I hadn't really been into their prior music, but the change in genre hit me so hard!! "Girls" ended up being one of my top played songs last year. It's such a smooth bop and no matter how many times I heard it I never wanted to hit skip
What I appreciated about the mv for "Girls" was that while the sound and visuals can seem discordant when you add in that the lyrics speak to, despite the members ages, an idea that in the face of love they are still children they dovetail perfectly. So in a often jarring, brutal, and visceral without being grotesque way (which is wonderfully done by the mv production staff) the mv deals with loss of childish innocence and tells of the emotional, psychological and other tolls for what happens in our first encounters with love and what often can often seem like life ending/altering pain and confusion following our severing of connection when that love ends. Some have also made the suggestion that the use of blood alongside metaphors for the feminine, as they relate to loss of innocence, are also at play here but I am in no place to comment although I don't disagree either.
Nature debuted in 2018 with Allegro Cantabile, they are 9 members, but 2 of them wasn't here Aurora was in youth with you s2 like Handong, Loha was in hiatus because of health issues. Their fandom name is Leaf, and no this the first time they try this concept actually they have cutesy innocent concept but this concept suit them more i hope they will continue with it.
I like the censored version a bit better even tho it dosen't change much but what a masterpiece of a song and mv "girls" is. This was quite a new concept for the girls but they nailed it (I basically share a name with the maknae now and I still don't know how to process that lmao)

Thank you for reacting to Nature! I see some familiar Leafs in the comments doing the hard work. So I will just say that stanning Nature is honestly one of the best decisions a kpop fan can make. They're by far the most interactive group I've encountered (and I've been in kpop - on and off - for 10 years now) - there's so many ways to talk to them and for them to talk to you. Their members recognise and remember my name and face and by this point it is like a group of friends rather than just another kpop group. They're wonderful, and the best part is, they finally have all 9 members of their lineup back together and healthy again, so hopefully we will be getting a full group comeback soon! It's funny that you think it's a disconnect from the music to the video. Just because there's elements of the tropical house genre to it, doesn't mean it is necessarily just hype or upbeat! The melodic structures, minor progressions and key signatures are very much designed to give feelings of being stuck asleep, in a waking nightmare, trapped in your own mind, but with a sense of impending escape and then release. The video depicts Chaebin (who sings the prechorus) being challenged by the other members, each representing different aspects of her mind - her maturity, her sexuality, her happiness. The lyrics talk of being a small child in front of love - the area in which she is expected to be completely comfortable in, having grown up, as if passing a certain day suddenly makes you an adult woman, mature enough to be in love etc. 'Girls' - the word in Korean also means 'child' - can very much be read as synonymous with virginity here.
You guys should react to wings by PIXY !! They’re a new group that recently debuted and their mv and song is so good !! (Also have a dark fairy concept and as an insomnia I absolutely love it)
I hadn't even heard of Nature before this comeback, but it was one of my favorite songs of 2020 and I even bought the album! (Dive is an amazing B-side!) Edit: I have great memories of last Summer playing The Last of Us 2, drinking whiskey and listening to Nature World: Code M haha
The song isn't perfect but it's damn good. The uncensored version really improved the MV for me - I wasn't buying the uncensored version and I think that was just due to having to edit out bits. The uncensored version improved everything for me at least 20%.
Love this reaction! also if you want another GG horror concept, Pixy just debuted with Wings, which is a BOPPPPPPPP. I recommend watching the Pixy Wings World View video in your reaction before watching the MV. It is basically like a short trailer/animated short film-ish thing (it's only two minutes long) that introduces you to their lore/storyline so that you know what's going on in the MV and it's a really cool idea I think.

You guys should try reacting to PIXY - Wings! They're a new group who debuted in February. Their concept is horror but they also have a storyline as their group name suggests! Alot of people have been comparing them to groups like Dreamcatcher but they seem really promising. Awesome stages too!
For context, Nature before this comeback, usually have, and known for their more bright up-tempo catchy sounds (if you like such music, do check out Allegro Canabile, I'm so Pretty, Oopsie My Bad) but unfortunately did not gain a lot of fans (and I guilty of it.. i like their songs but somehow not enough to buy their albums/sngles). With Girls, they are trying something darker and mature, and perhaps also be a bit more sophisticated with the sound with the electronic beats and hooks, in order to get the attention of the general public and hopefully, be more successful. It somewhat work and while they did get a lot of new fans and the neutral to pay attention but the slight dip in album sales and some critics of the song (from comments, there seem be a lot of interest from overseas fans whereas the Korean fans are more lukewarm towards the song) seem to indicate that they might still need to work out a balance to establish a music identity. Personally to me, the song is definitely catchy, while I do agree with some of the critics that the song seem have a over-reliance of instrumental loops (especially for the chorus), and the lyrics are weak (empty chorus, repetitive, a bit nonsensical etc.), it does not bothers me also (I only know very very basic Korean and don't understand the 80% song without a google translation). All in all, I still see some of their style from their earlier songs in this (albeit more darker and mature) and do look forward to where they go from here. Will they continue or change it up again or switch back?
