My child was fortunate to attend Glenridge Pre-School in San Francisco's Glen canyon. They played outside, in dirt, picked wild berries which they turned into jam, made paper, talked to the trees, looked at fauna in the creek. Wonderful memories.

I am a kindergarten teacher in Germany. Lived in the U S as well and volunteered in a day care. I could not believe the paranoia over what could happen to children.Everything regulated..don't put so much fear in children's head !!!

I have 10 years teaching kindergarten in San Diego. Our curriculum is nothing like this but I wish it was completely like this.

I was in a Waldkindergarten in Germany and I have a lot of good memories, there is only one bad one, which was, when another kid fell of a rock and seriously hurt himself while we where unsupervised and out of the hearing range of our educators, it kinda left me traumatised at the time and still overshadows all the fun memories of that time.

Ach quatsch sowas passiert mal. Bei uns sind auch eine Menge Verletzungen passiert. Allerdings gehört so etwas dazu. Solange keiner stirbt oder sonstige bleibende Verletzungen erleidet. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr froh in einem Waldkindergarten gewesen zu sein.

What a great video! Such an important message. I am very interested to know why play has changed so much since the 80s. I was always outside as a little kid. We don't have forest kindergartens here. But we spend a lot of time in nature with our kids and we've just started the very first youtube channel about Nature play. We hope it will inspire parents and teachers to take their kids out into nature. We notice the difference nature play makes for our sons.

I wonder if you are hiring. I grew up this way in China. Then I lived in Tampa, FL, Toronto, ON, and Las Vegas, NV. However, I love myrtle creek, OR the best, where I have a big backyard(one acre). I talk with the trees, flowers, bushes every day.

This video is a lection on how to hold a presentation freely and without any reading from a paper sheet. Mrs. Krusekopf is not only an excellent performer, she is (of German origin, she mentioned?) a teacher of young children and toddlers for the 21th century. She speaks like an American, but she teaches like a mother of a kid. Hans Rosenthal (A.H.R.D.)

Powder In the US, the Boyscouts are still discriminatory, and I'm not sure they regularly have meetings outside. There is a strong tendency to structure our kids activities around what is comfortable for us. So much so that it has become problematic.

Unfortunately we have to worry about mountain lions where we live. So Someone does need to be outside with kids in our area.

40% of parents think that kids under 14 shouldn't go outside unsupervised? What? Kids can't grow up healthy if you try to keep them safe from any kind of risk. Let your kids play outside. It's important. Abduction by strangers rarely even happens

People would call cps if kids are out by themselves. So annoying.

The content is good, but she is almost unlistenable. She speaks like people think they're supposed to when they read to children, with oddly placed accents and stresses. Ugh.
