@@dearartms we're planning to cut our intro short & are on it to do research if pictures don't fall under creative commons. maybe we'll be able to monetize them soon, but often times the companies monetize the videos manually, so we can't really do anything about it. :)
i think the worst part about rica rica’s ca is that the company framed it as if it was a self produced comeback and basically using the members as a scapegoat
@@brennathecatlover4360 listen to the video when he talks about the mockumentary and Rica Rica and everything will be clarified. 😉😊 They didn't prepared this Comeback for sure.
Nature really caught my attention with 'Girls'. One of my favourite songs of that year. So sad that the group is a total mess... I'm really worried about the girls :(
I joined the fandom because of that song and wished to see more of it since I stan groups such as Loona and Dreamcatcher, Nature immediately got my attention then.
I wish NATURE would get some much-needed recognition. “I’m so pretty” is SUCH a good summer song, Oopsie My Bad was polarizing and cool, and Girls showed a sensual and mature side. I feel like they kind of suffer the same fate as Weki Meki, where they’ve tried many concepts but the public hasn’t latched on.
it's not for their concepts, no matter what the concept is, no group will be successful without good promotion from their company, Weki Meki and Nature deserve better
@@aurora_sleeping_beauty_ You are kinda wrong since Limbo is their most viral song yet. They gained 2 millions streams in less than a month on Spotify.
U said this as if nature's career is over from this.... It literally went viral in Korea and people like it 💀 idk what u meant by this, she's had the most success now than any other time
@@Matthew-sl8dx its not that their career is over, its that n.CH might disband them sooner rather than later and if that does happen and IF sohee wants to continue her career in music is highly unlikely she will make it in the industry because of the way netizens act with older idols. women in this industry are rarely debuted in groups when theyre older than 25, while it does happen it doesnt happen nearly enough. its unfortunate but its the truth.
@@bunibuns586 when they debut solo they debut later in their 20's too... she can still go solo if she has enough hype idk how popular she is I'm just a casual listener of their songs.
the second that “girls” got popularity, i just KNEW the company would mess it up. everyone was saying “i think i’m gonna stan them if they stick to this concept!” i knew the bag would get fumbled, just not this hard
Sadly yeah. Girls really did bring some international fans, eventhough it didn't do well as much as their other releases. Even though the comeback did not do well, they still have support from the international fans. But then, n.Ch fucked it up, by releasing a CA comeback that is going to anger so many international fans.
@T Gumbo They won't care that much because they can profit taxes from them, so they will take their own sweet time unless the companies exploit too much. This is why many idol companies get caught for tax evasion fraud and the well known SM have that record quite a few times already. Those big companies can get away with it anyway
For addition. Gaga now debuted in group named "NAME" under yuehua entertainment on December 2021. This group based on China and she used her birth name as her stage name too (Li JiaJia)
Thank you for the additional info :) we decided to keep it out to shorten the video length, but it is indeed interesting that she redebuted despite going back to China to "focus on her studies". Thank you for watching! :)
@@searchingforelris she redebuted literally 3 years after going back, that's plenty enough time to finish studying. also even if she didn't finish just yet it's obviously easier to continue studies in china even while being in an idol group while you're in the actual country you're studying in
They knew what they were doing when giving Nature ‘Rica Rica’, the CA would bring attention and be an attempt to save the group. i wish they had better management, they deserve better
Constant lineup changes and members going on hiatus repeatedly is a huge red flag. Hopefully their contracts will end soon so they can move on from this mess of a company
Girls was such a bop made by Nature... Even though the views on RU-vid didn't do well, almost every girl group Instagram accounts posted the clips and Nature got to be featured on The Artist of The Month... But then Rica Rica happened... It disappointed me so much..
The extreme dieting is so fucked up. People always talk about stuff big companies do which is bad, and I agree but it’s almost like small companies get away with more because people don’t notice them.
Thank you so much for this video. As an avid fan of NATURE, I’m pleased to see every detail of this was accurate! Misinformation tends to spread very quickly with NATURE. I love watching any content related to these girls and thank you again for covering them! 💗
Thank you very much for watching & for offering your help a few weeks back! It was only possible due to the amazing help of the fandom, so thank you again!
Good video! One thing that's worth pointing out is that companies rarely, if ever, have in-house style teams. I think stylists, costume designers etc usually work with an MV production company or are freelancers that are sourced video to video. It is possible - though not guaranteed - that the styling for the Rica Rica MV was an idea of a separate style team working to a brief given by the company, and then greenlit by the company. This isn't to try and excuse n.ch or absolve them of blame, merely to raise the point that a lot of the time those directly responsible for CA in kpop are the ones who aren't known to the public without doing some digging and consequently avoid being blamed/other consequences. Which undoubtedly has an impact on how often it seems to happen throughout the industry.
Thank you very much for your comment. Yes, we also think it's absolutely necessary to call out the people who are actually involved in it, which often isn't the company staff or the idols themselves. However, for RICA RICA, apart from their make-up and styling, their choreographer and song writers / producers all appropriated multiple cultures heavily which led us to think that they must've been instructed by n.CH Entertainment to follow that certain "concept". And if not, n.CH Ent. should have stopped everything completely the moment their choreographer came up with these dance moves to make it "interesting". Thank you again for watching & the very good insight!
@@searchingforelris Indeed, that's what I meant by 'working to a brief given by the company'. We know for a fact (since some of us have direct contact with n.ch staff) that the bindis were not deliberately chosen as bindis, but rather to copy Jennie's 'forehead jewelry' worn in Blackpink's Ddu Du Ddu Du MV. Which is, inadvertently, making the girls wear bindis, of course. The issue there was that BP are so popular the voices calling out the appropriation in that video were drowned out by the overwhelming support and positivity, so n.ch weren't aware that there was an issue to begin with. It's interesting to think about the logic behind some choices, especially when we can get clear information like that, and how that reflects on the general levels of awareness of such issues companies have.
ricarica was nothing but a publicity stunt. they knew what would happen if they'd release a song like that. fame hungry companies like this accept any kind of attention, even if its for the worst reasons.
No wonder i couldn’t keep track of the members. I saw 8 in oopsie my bad and 6 in girls. I’m also suprised girls didn’t get them enough attention. It seemed like everyone on RU-vid loved it.
nch upset me so much because there is something so fishy going on in that company for so many girls to be seriously injured etc :( also they have made some awful career decisions but have also made some really good ones which makes me angry because they clearly know what is successful for the group but just don't do it??? there are examples of them listening to and appreciating fans and giving back in ways that have made nature gain more fans. for example fans expressed love of the bside bing bing in their oopsie comeback and so nch did extended promotions for that song which was probably tiring for the girls but the fans really liked it. and then ofc the fanmeetings :) it started as a gift for Azerbaijan fans as nature had recently received a lottt of love from them and then they open separate ones for each countries if fans were able to get together 100 fans from their country to attend. I joined the UK and ireland one and I know that we managed to recruit new fans to increase our number also lots of people I'm sure became fans because of the offer of the experience so I think that was really good and they rlly took advantage of how any fan thing had to be online and expanded their international fan base. but then they also go and not give them a cb for a whole year and a half and when they do comeback it's with something that will purposely get them bad publicity bc at least that's still publicity. ://
this whole situation is so heartbreaking. I was excited when I heard nature were coming back but was crushed when it turned out to be Rica Rica. to know they were thrown under the bus to take the full responsibility for it is horrible. plus the hiatuses and diets. The group should disband as sad as that is so that the girls stop being harmed and can move on in life.
Wow I have multiple of their songs on my playlist, but I had no idea about the injuries, lineup changes, and general poor handling of the company. How disappointing, because they clearly have what it takes to make good music. I always jam to Some after a hard days work and just wanting to let loose
I sometimes feel certain cultural dances or practices should remain “untouched” (i.e. rebranded as a cute K-pop dance or trend) because no matter how sincere you are in learning or emulating it, when you try to introduce it outside of it’s cultural context it can look like mockery. I’ve seen the zaouli dance of the Ivory Coast - the girls (despite learning from a zaouli dancer) don’t emulate it well. And fans of the dance are just hopping around randomly and giggling because of how silly they feel trying to do the moves … it’s unfortunate
I was always really worried about the girls because of how often they were sick or injured. Their company seems to be sabotaging the group. It's so upsetting because the members are SO talented.
I really fell in love with their song Girls and it’s really sad seeing how the company treats them :,( This is just another example of an entertainment company that sees the singers as products. The extreme dieting is so inhumane…
NATURE is such a tragedy - i followed them since they sang allegro cantabile and was mesmerized by their charisma and talent - i was so happy with how the girls comeback went and i had high hopes on them - it really sucks that the company did them this dirty - they are so talented! Sometimes i rewatch that one acapella video they did live at a fanmeet cuz its sounds so pretty~
Honestly i think one of the most concerning things about this management is how clearly unhealthy the girls are. For just health reasons having to sit out is relatively inconspicuous. But with the heavy diets that the girls mentioned themselves (probably as a plea or to notify fans they were *not* doing well, because i dont even understand how they diet do much). The worst part is how many bones these girls have broken. Honestly along with one of them havin anemia as well, it seems like they were forced to diet so much and be skinny (and yeah they are definitely skinny. A bit concerning. Not as much as others, but the bodies of different people are so different that for them the need to go on break was actually the sign that they were truly unhealthy, not just something else. It's why we really can't be sure of idols health until there are no exception signs showing). Basically its just super worrying that the company kept putting them on diets to the point that the girls were breaking bones, and yet were forced to do it again. They definitely didn't/don't have the nutrition they need, so even if they aren't a stick or showing bones in their backs, they're not healthy long term. And its so upsetting to constantly see this in the industry. Like come on! They'll probably work for 7-15 years, and then they take what they earn and go live as normal of a life as they can, or choose to act or film vlogs or be on tv. But they can't live normal long lives if their health is in such a dentrimenal place rn. I cant imagine having rhat packsd of a schedule with constant exercise of practicing, and at the same time have managers of a company who dont know anything about nutrition tell me to eat less than needed to be skinny like... Bruh. What about their health. That's more important.
As a big leaf and having nature as my ults, I want to thank you so so much for doing this video. You don't know how much leafs have struggled to try and reach out to nch or even anyone since nobody wanted to hear about them when rica rica released. The girls are amazing, I have met them throught video calls multiple times and the fact that every time they are so cheerful and nice to all their fans it's just so precious, even more when they go through this mistreatment everyday. I sincerely fear for my girls, but at least knowing that this video exists and makes people know the situation aliviates me a little , because people know now that nature isnt as guilty as they sounded. Please support the girls In the future (not their shitty company). Because I can promise you they are so sweet and funny that you will end up caring for them like I do
i'm really glad that nature is gaining attention in SK because even though it started out as a joke, lots of people checked out the group's previous releases and are becoming fans. my only concern is that nch will not be able to build on this attention on time and that by the time they have their next comeback, all the hype will be gone
I know Rica Rica was a mess (I actually thought Rica stood for “delicious” because that’s the translation to Spanish) but you can’t still be cancelling the girls who had no word for that comeback and asking them for more apologies when the damage is done and the only at fault is their company
this was a really helpful video, good job! i came across nature when they released "girls" like a lot of people and it became one of my favorite kpop songs (and music videos) ever. so i was very excited for more music. but then this whole mess with the long hiatus and "rica rica" happened. i didn't know a lot of stuff that happened because i wasn't there from the start and i'm kinda shocked now. nature truly deserves better and i'm sad their potential is being wasted like this :(
I get that managing a group can be difficult especially in such a cruel, oversaturated industry as kpop is, but I will never understand why its so goddamn difficult for companies to understand that mistreating their idols will NEVER work out. Sure, have them stay in good shape (NOT by starving), keep them practicing etc but you should know you're heading for failure when you have so many hiatuses, so many problems, so much mistrust and uncertainty you're putting your group AND fans through. HOW is this company expecting ANY of this to play out, I'll never understand. The leadership of that company must be full of psychopaths For Sure. I feel sorry for these girls, Rica could've been really big too if they don't mess up with the CA styling and just say "rica" is just catchy nonsense like the million "Dundun" songs out there.
The fact that they starve just to be able have a comeback is horrible. I always rolled out my eyes when i see videos of idols eating when you know is just a facade from their companies. But can't just blame the company when the consumer demands a certain image from this idols.
I feel like the diet restriction enforcement can be much harsher from the smaller agencies and in nugu groups than even the Big 3 at times. But I'm glad to see that it's not always the case with everyone. Red Velvet and Twice doesn't always have the same strict restrictions on them as before, and you see Dreamcatcher ordering take out to the company building in half of their VLives and keep bags of snacks in their vans. There are some indicators out there that whilst they encourage their idols to maintain their figure in order to perform well (depending on an agency's interpretation of that), a lot of it is self-managed by the idols themselves.
@@넌지금잘하고있어-k4n Yoooo 친구! I'm good. Been somewhat a little distant from fully engaging in KPop content in general lately due to some ongoing projects (one may be DC related even). But yeah, the album's great. Maison took a couple listens for me to warm up to as I hear more and more of the production details in the song itself. Gonna give another run through with one of my good headphones so I can start to really appreciate the whole thing. Hope you're well :))

I saw Nature perform at KMF 2019 (alongside NCT Dream and X1), they were so cute! Luckily me and my friend had penlights that could change colours so we switched to pink for them. They were so cute and we enjoyed their performance.
I'm a great fan of Nature basically since debut and I noticed all this things during the time but having a video that explains everything in few minutes and recalling all of this is shocking. I'm very sad that my girls are so mistreated! They must change agency! Also about Sunshine I noticed her weight loss and I was really worried! I hope she is healing❤️ Also I hope for a future Comeback all together and that is not offensive or made them have injuries or extreme diets❤️ I'm really mad to their company now😠
nature captured my attention wholey with girls. it was top 10 of my most listened songs in 2020 and 2021, it was in nearly all playlists i was making during the time and i frequently rewatched the mv. but the release of rica rica really soured my taste for them. i haven't been able to listen to girls or other of their songs comfortably ever since despite how much i used to enjoy them. i was even planning on buying the physical form of the single along with girls when it came out until the teasers dropped and i had to abandon that idea. the girls are so telented, every time i see one of their stages i'm wowed by how good they are, but their company has gotten in their way in every step in one of the most astounding ways i have seen in my decade and some change of being into kpop. the way they have never had a consistent lineup is some second gen bullshit, the mockumentary was just... i cannot imagine how dishearting it must have been for the girls to see their company blame them. nature has succesfully gone down like this, i don't think they can come back. i just how their contracts are terminated and the girls who are still willing to continue in the industry despite such hirrble experience, are able to find companies that will take proper care of them.
As someone who’s been a leaf since predebut, Nature have so much potential, but nch world are ruining them. I just want to see all the girls together again
I was never a fan of nature but I remember how Girls blew up and people thinking that it was a fearless move of them to do such concept. It's sad to know that this concept hurt the members now. I also remember watching the teaser for Rica Rica and going like "oh no" cause I thought it'd be a controversial comeback. 😅 I was right.
Honestly it makes me sad to see this happening to nature since they are a really unique group with great songs, and the girls seem like nice and talented people, but their company treats them like little singing dolls and doesnt even let them eat in peace...
Man been a fan since "Im so pretty " it's been going downhill since then and I really thought the company would get it together after adding Sohee but nah 🙄 The girls deserve better!!
Wow so It was imploding even before I got into them!? Like Lu's healing was hindered bc of the severe diet woooww Just found out about that now and im still watching the video

I’m So Pretty such a bop. I’m hoping to see more of Girls but the company literally messed up. Im glad they comeback with LIMBO. However the members kept missing.
Well they reedemed with LIMBO, but I did not know all their history... for you all fans... THIS IS MISTREATMENT, so please you need to learn when to use that word.
I feel like Nature got CLCd. They changed concept gained traction and then went back to their "quirky" sound. It was honestly bad move they should've continued with that mature and dark concept and maybe they could've grown a bit more.
Actually not, 6:56 look how their sales decreased a lot with Girls and charted lower than their previous releases, the same happened to CLC when they released Hobgoblin, international recognition not always means success and higher numbers.
@@yimdiw6236 yeah girls didn't get as much recognition as intls would like to think, just because some people talked about it on twt doesn't mean it did well as most of those few people who screamed girls soty never bothered to actually support them
It’s really hard to make it when your agency is like this. Even though they may have not have enough budget, they should have treated them well. I was really rooting for nature after girls, I was so worried they would disband. But they came back with rica rica and i knew from that moment that they cannot move any further. It will be very difficult because of the cultural appropriation issue. I hope the members get to rest and continue their dream in another way. They should free themselves from that agency.
Not to mention N.CH also used to manage TO1 back when they were still known as TOO. Both companies WakeOne and N.CH definitely need to shut down for good. The way they treated/treat their groups was/is horrible. Now as TO1’s heartbreaking story is coming to light it’d be nice for y’all to make a vid on them but only if y’all want to. Their career Started off bad when they had their survival show, then being forced to go on another one, Long Hiatuses, Lying about members going on hiatus, Etc etc etc. most or half of their career is similar to Nature’s (the hiatuses, new members, etc [except taking longer to announce departures])I hope both groups eventually escape both companies and Sue them. Wake One did horrible to IN2IT and did Kep1er pretty bad too. Edit: Jihoon’s Carat did a vid on them pls check it out u won’t regret watching it
thank you so much for making this video. nature is my ults and it hurts to see them be treated this way and taking the blame for something they didn't do.
Awesome video as usual!!! I hope one day you can do one on APRIL cuz that girl group has had ALOT happen to them XD from inching their way out of nugudom - getting a hit - being forgotten - being remembered - come crashing down - and are now in a weird place because what even is dsp doing XD
I don’t blame the members for much of what they do because we don’t know what their contract says. They’ll have to do what the company says or risk a potential lawsuit then be completely in debt. It’s kind of sad because they had so much potential. These entertainment companies need to get better but most of the time the idols are the ones that take the hit.
the small company curse …the company is so desperate at this point and it shows instead of encouraging nature’s growth as a group they are ruining them
i am not a debut stan cause i found out abt them around girls era i just remember wanting them to be more popular so bad and now their getting so much hate it’s pretty sad

Hello~ TOgether (TO1 fan) here. As far as I know, the dispute between CJ and nCH started in August 2020 due to a change in internal structures in CJ. They wanted to take TOO and manage the group themselves, but nCH refused to let them go, and because of that CJ did not help in promoting them or funding them. Since CJ was the promotions side of TOO's management, nCH could not give them a comeback and allegedly funded them out of pocket to keep the group active. There are also still a lot of details that are unknown about the legal battle, but in the end CJ did manage to get a hold of TOO, rebranded as TO1, in January 2021. Because of this, nCH had to remove them from their official website and give control of TO1's social media to CJ. I also believed that nCH did lose a lot of money because of this legal discourse and to manage TOO by themselves. But considering that the battle ended in 2021, it could be that nCH were still recovering from their loss. I do think debuting another group was not the best idea considering Nature was still active and needed the promotions. BTW if gethers see this and have additional information, feel free to correct me
Nature was that one group that really piqued my interest even before they debuted. Although, when I think about it, I think back when they just Debuted, I actually liked the members more than their debut song. I do know that their debut song is a cover of an anime opening but I've never listened to the original version of that song either. Edit: It's really sad because it looks like n.Ch entertainment seems to just be trying to do anything to obtain publicity while making sure that any backlash would be directed to the girls instead of them. And I'm aware that small companies usually does things like this, where they'll mistreat a group and then for some reason the company would do something that would hurt the group before debuting a new group and completely ignoring their first group.
Yeah. I wish OP gave us more detail on that. There must've been a reason why fans started believing it. Though, it could've been as simple as her stating that she is a fan of them.
I really tried to stan nature after the release of girls, but I was never sure of the confusing member lineup and then Rica Rica happened :/ a shame because they seem like lovely talented girls in an awful company
i'm glad i stumbled upon this video. i've been a fan of nature since "i'm so pretty" and watching their concepts evolve was so fun. i fell out of kpop last year when 1team disbanded so i wasn't aware of anything that had happened with nature until rica rica teasers. it made me sick to see those. so hearing everything else that happened - about sunshine, the mockumentary, and n.ch basically throwing the girls under the bus for rica rica - is so incredibly upsetting. these girls are very talented and i love them a lot, this type of treatment is outright vile. i hope that someday they'll be able to get out of this like to1 did,,,, i really think they deserve their chance at success again. thank you for making this video, you're very informative and easy to understand! will definitely be checking out more of your content. :))
Wow, I never knew Nature had such a long and sorted history! Thank you for summaring it so well. I'd only really seen Lu as a co-host on CeluvTV (where she did a great job, imo).
I discovered Nature with Girls, I really loved the concept and the 2 b-sides. It made me listen to their previous releases, which I honestly like a lot (especially Oopsie My Bad)! But Rica Rica was sooo disappointing (not only because of the cultural disrespect, but the MV and the music just. Aren't good.), I'm sad for the girls :( Your video was very informative, just learning about the MANY lineup changes explains a lot... And the extreme dieting is so disgusting to hear about, it's awful how harsh the company pushes them yet don't promote them well and don't protect them.
I really like NATURE's music and it's just sad that all this has happened to them... ): I also love your intro! It's so cool, I'm glad to see an ELRIS stan :)
