What am I? Answer: eternity that knows and loves itself ( sat-chit-ananda ) Who am I? Answer: Someone needing enlightenment because without Krishna informing me to what I am I would never have known who I am. Who am I refers to my predicament as being a fool who needs to be rescued from reality's biggest jail ( maya ) but without Krishna informing me to what I am actually related too ( which is himself ) I would be wasting my time in this jail not knowing that there is something beyond it. True ego is understanding that we are totally dependent upon Krishna for our purification, as Krishna says, " this divine energy of mine consisting of the three modes of nature is difficult to overcome, but who have surrendered unto me easily cross beyond it." False ego is telling you that everything is okay that your present state of consciousness is your natural consciousness, so why even inquire about God? False ego keeps you a prisoner to this world.
