The title says it all! Advice on how to help nausea brought on by Gastroparesis!

The gummy bears! Need to try this! I also wear motion sickness bands (you can find them at most pharmacies, I believe. They are commonly used for people with sea sickness.) If I don’t have them on, I push on that pressure point (3 finger widths down from the bottom of your palm.) I also apply peppermint or ginger essential oils to those spots and on my tummy and a drop in my belly button. Most of the time it’s a combination of a bunch of things than just one. 💚💚💚

OH those are great ideas too! I LOVE essential oils and even have some to use and never thought to do it that way! thank yoooou!! and youre right, not just one thing seems to help haha

This video was well timed. I'm so nauseous and have so much stomach pain that I'm on liquids only today. One thing to note is that if you also have GERD, you have to be wary of peppermint as it can aggravate that.

@@AGUTFEELING I just woke up and it usually takes a minute to set in if I'm gonna be nauseous for the day. So we'll see what happens.

I like your round glasses, they remind me of Marci from Peanuts:-) Do you usually wear contacts? I do, but I also have glasses. Aw, thank yooou! no I usually only need glasses for reading and driving but, I do have a hard time seeing further away but man was the glare bad from my ring light! haha thats OKAY! I understand its not super inclusive so Im sorry! If you have family or friends though that might like a giftcard for jewelry or a swimsuit ;-) hahah she has NO idea just yet lol

@@AGUTFEELING Haha, well I suggest maybe just give her one pie in the face! She may not go along with it if you're gonna do everything to her that will happen to you, but if you let her do the honors of putting the pies in your face, she may take one herself, LOL 😜

Zofran is a lifesaver, but I don’t like to take medications so I’ll be trying these for sure! Any excuse to drink tea is good to me.

Nausea is awful. I often get it when I haven’t had a no 2 for a few days. But with Gastroparesis tho I can get it at any time. Something that really helps me is Gaviscon. It seems to line the stomach.

Gas X helps relieve my nausea for a while. But my stomach is always doing something. It's never quiet. It goes from bubbling, gurgling, grumbling,cramping ,hurting. Or just plain yelling. 😢

I had to pause just to say I am pregnant and I have gastroparesis yet my insurance will only cover 30 pills every 23 days. I am constantly running out and having worse symptoms because of it.

Having my 6th major surgery on the 3rd of June. There going to bypass my stomach again, after I had a reversal now it's not working properly. If this surgery doesn't work, the surgeon will have to take my stomach out. 😔

I’ve been dealing with this for months and I got prescribed with zofran and another nausea medicine and they don’t work anymore ☹️ so I’m stuck with nausea 24/7

A GUT FEELING I have tried over the counter nausea medicine to if that’s what you mean . I do have an appointment with a GI specialist April 9th to see if their is anything else they can do .

my gastro very rarely prescribes me zofran because she says it can cause heart problems when used too often and long term...has your doctor ever mentioned that? it's super hard for me to get zofran which sucks because it's sooo helpful.

OMG no, he's never mentioned that and Ive been using it for almost 4 years now pretty much daily! I DO however get my heart scanned every 6 months anyway because I am also taking domperidone and THAT can certainly cause heart problems especially if you have a history already

Yass .i live on like mush ahhaha and when i go crazy i do grounded sprouted shit an or jello no sugar. I take even bonine, the sea bands,tummy drops, like wtf zofran for me i take 8mg 3 or 4 times a day.

Your so lucky zofran works for you. I had to stop taking it because it lengthened my QT.

aw Im so sorry! :-( I do have to get an EKG every 6 months just in case but, I cant imagine. Does phenergan or promethizine cause the same issue?

My doctors put me on a anti-histamine and that did nothing:/ so now I’m on a anti-biotic and of course it’s only making my nausea worse, but I am meeting with my GI doctor at the end of this month I will bing those up.

@@sendmegrace I hate/love antibiotics -_- they help us so much in the long run but the side effects are a killer. Let me know how it goes when you see your GI!

I went in for an endoscopy because my doctor wanted to see if medicine helped which it didn’t, and it turns out I have ulcers on my stomach, which sucks but I am glad I have a decent explanation.

@@sendmegrace ugh ulcers can be so terrible, my mom had quite a bunch recently herself . Im glad they did an endoscopy and found smethig and hopefully able to help relieve it?
