This historical documentary series was filmed some time ago!
The tunnels today are now locked and are not accessible to the public!
EPISODE 1:
• NAVAL FUEL BUNKER PORT...
These tunnels were on the top secret bunker list when they were built in ww2.
The tunnels today are in a very bad way, criminals have stolen copper out of the cables and vandals have had there fun down there.
it was in the late 1990s early 2000s that the lights were still working!
Makes me upset that the tunnels left to get vandalised, these tunnels with such a historic background!

There are no updates available for windows or my display drivers. Don't have this issue with any other videos. What makes you think it's a driver issue?

If I download the video from youtube and open it in VLC the length of the video is 14min 4sec, however when it reaches 1min 2seconds the video stops. So I think its more likely a corruption issue than a driver issue.

I am no expert but I think you need some sort of Gas detection meter when in confined spaces like that. As I say I could be wrong but might be worth looking into for your safety. Great video guys!

Very interesting place and the amount of work to build and put all the machinery in place. It would be interesting to know the last ship to call to replenish her bunkers. I would also be interested to know if this machinery could be preserved who now owned all this equipment?

That colour green on the machinery screams of old British engineering, every time I see that colour it reminds of men wearing flat caps, navy blue overalls and work jackets with a woodbine hanging out of one corner of their mouth, a bit like Fred Dibnar, RIP.

We've been down there a couple of times & done it all. Gloves, sacrificial coat, old waterproof trousers, & wellies are a must.. And bin bags for after & white spirit. There are a few holes in the pump room beneath the oil. Generally fine though. 😊 Bit knackering on the way up & out though.. 😉

Looks like the place was used up until recently. Say within 30-40 years. That sink had a water heater that is still in use today along with the switches etc

Hope you both go back for a bigger explore of that area, and advise take at least 6ft stick/pole to prod the oil stained floor before stepping in to a spot. so access points and spill drains are found and depth gauged etc ,like you how did at 7:40 in the vid. All best to you both.

You'd want to test the air quality down there. You could be breathing monoxide and not even know it till yr gasping for breath

Always wondered what you guys do when you get back outside and back to your car. Sometimes all covered in mud and oil, do you wash off your boots, or do you drive back home in those clothes/shoes? Do they clean up ok or is it a bugger to get clean sometimes? Great Explore by the way, enjoyed that one! :)

I'd say always take a collapsible plastic stick of sorts. That way you can check levels of water, oil, etc, and feel for drop offs.

1st it will not play full video .now when i watched it 2 weeks ago it was fine on xbox1s and as i was watching it i noted something strange it starts from TIME 3.31 onwards just as you scan down with the cam you can see 2 foot prints in the oil.what do you think .am i right .i watched that bit 3-4 times and it still look like 2 foot prints

You know, this is some fascinating stuff. I hope though, for you're future health that you guys take some consideration for what you might be breathing in, in some of these places. Research. Take proper care. And also, please take caution for the chances of bumping into other explorers, ones who might have violence on the mind. Always have a plan, and a back up plan. Like you said, you never know at the end of the day. Take care, bless ya.

What an amazing place...... Seeing the transformers and what looked like generating units I'm guessing that supplied the electric..... but what are they driving them? Look a bit like steam engines.... or a primitive heavy oil?

at 7.10 it kinda looks like you may have captured someone standing on the other side of the room, looking at the ground in dark clothing..unless you were messing around, they don't usually look like that.

First thing I see you going down a rusty ladder without any hand protection... The amount of bad things that could of happened if you slipped because of there oil and cut/scratched your hand hard on that ladder.
