Naval is a visionary...The concepts he envisioned are actually taken place now such as the rapid decline in company workforce through increased investment in technology and the rise in freelance work. Absolutely brilliant and well ahead of his time considering this was more than 6 years ago.

His wisdom, knowledge and vision was so far ahead of the world that time. And not to mention he's sarcastic enough to lighten the moment lol.

This is smart on many levels. Although it’s not clear that this has happened yet, larger corporations are becoming more unstable and unsustainable every day. That seems to be the nature of any information system that is separated from reality by a set of processes. The larger the system and processes the slower the agent is able to react and the higher the entropy of the system. That’s partially why to avoid being disrupted you see a lot of mergers and acquisitions done with keeping some separation of entities; the reason we are watching RU-vid right now and not Google video. It’ll be interesting to see how far this artificial scaling down/seperation can take these companies.

More smaller companies are a good thing for everyone. In the future, most of us will be freelancers.

Freelancing is not entrepreneurship. He is talking about entrepreneurship. Take an example of ecomm store or social media marketing agency or any tech startup like whatsapp.

There are some big companies. But many start ups are doing far better in innovation than the bigger companies. There is a huge increase in the freelancing.

If I was to run a company, I’d love to work with a small group of trust worthy people and have a trustworthy supply network with other companies. It would just be fun, to be around an intimate group, break bread and have a chain of friends who back each other up, rather than have 50K people under me who despise me, yet they’re just statistics to me

this applies more to Service companies than to Manufacturing. Industrial revolution was all about manufacturing....we are headed toward Service but Manufacturing would still be needed. Though most would be handled by Robots...Most not all.
@vimalcurio

Indeed but yeah that thing will be handled by robot and ai soon.

WOW Sarah Lacy asks a question at the beginning of this 2012 video clip that Peter Thiel incorporates into the opening of his 2015 book Zero to One... “What important truth do very few people agree with you on?” :-O

"You know she's doing her job, if she goes in a fires a whole bunch of people" It's Nov 2022... hmm, wonder where something this is happening currently? A blue tweety bird told me somewhere in SF. Let that sink in. (not saying this is right or wrong, but funny how 10 years later what Naval said is actually happening)
