Why does no one talk about how incredible JADE is? She's the top girl, had big shoes to fill and killed every single stunt, gave attitude, served sass. Like honestly, she sold it, she was polished and she is SO impressive.
right they only showed her in the beginning with her bf but she was a beast every time they showed her on the documentary. I wonder if its bc her storyline was "boring."
You need to see the ups and downs of cheer and the whole entire process. If they just showed the good parts it wouldnt be truthful to what happens during training and show offs like this. That's the reason for it. Not really because of the "drama" aspect of it all.
@@iamdeadinside4931 I get all that, but I think showing the whole routine from this angle at least once would have shown how all their hard work paid off and why they're the best.
@@BIOL6895 I think maybe this is not at the Daytona event, it says NCA showoff, so possibly not the event they were training for in the Netflix series?
Lexi goes from the most boring, slow person with a monotone voice that you can fall asleep listening to... and then boom polar opposite out of nowhere during routines. Mind blowing.
It what makes her so great. Even how she talks about cheerleading. just like "I might be the only girl who can do tumbling like this. but it's whatever." It's why she's so likable. She doesn't throw it in your face. When she talked about some navarro cheer alumni and said she'd be like "I'm just Lexi" I said "Hell yea, good for you"
I love that Lexi is one of the boys lol she is such a badass tumbler !!!!! That pyramid was killing folks left and right !!!! I’m so glad that everything worked out .
Adriana Bellamy Lexi is a Doll!! The pyramid was taking em all out! Lol. I was like maybe they should stop?? But look what hard work & dedication does!! 🔥 🔥🔥
Netflix brought me here. I couldn’t wait to see the performance. I was getting anxiety every episode. Have one left. I see Jerry ass back there! Hey boo.
Michelle Miller yeah I saw it. This was when I couldn’t wait to see the performance. The footage for Daytona wasn’t like this. I’m happy either way. My old ass felt like I could go full out with them lmao
why does no one talk about how AMAZING ashlee is?? shes literally center for stunts and was top girl before allie had to fill in for her as she got injured! she constantly nails all the stunts like most of the time her stunts are unassisted and is an incredible flyer!! honestly shes so UNDERRATED!
honestly it's so interesting to rewatch and just keep your eye on one person each time. like La'Darius is an absolute MACHINE! he literally doesn't stop moving from start till end
Voltaire Baculi They are amazing. on the contrary, those cheerleaders do not cheer at the college level. if you want to see the same skill level look up Team USA cheer 2016. These are adults. they are not on the college level like navarro is. they are also a junior college
Binged this on Netflix and IMMEDIATELY came to watch their performances, SO PROUD THEY HIT THE PYRAMID I'M CRYINGG 😭 I did competitive cheer for 5 years and I remember that stigma of people not seeing it as a "real" sport. It's great to see these incredibly versatile, disciplined athletes finally get recognition. It's so powerful and truly requires a team bond and trust unlike any other sport... those injuries from the show could've been so much worse if this team and Monika weren't the warriors they are. I've had my nose broken three times from being a base, seen girls break arms, we lost a top flyer the DAY before one of our nationals one year during practice...it's intense as hell. But that feeling of being in front of thousands of people, I can't remember the last time I felt so much adrenaline. I empathize with the alumni because it felt like some of the best days in my life too. And I think the point Monika made about the team appreciating the structure cheer brings is so true. My old coach was a lot like Monika... super strict, in it to win it. She was 50 and still doing back handsprings. That makes everyone want to push that much harder. This show is great, good job Netflix and team Navarro 👐 shout out Jerry and Lexi!!!! I couldn't keep my eyes off them!!!!
This show is so good its insane, as a father of a competitive cheer athlete this is really sincere in the amount of work it takes to be elite at this sport. These a true athletes on the mat, much more so then many other sports. I loved the CHEER series on Netflix, it was just full of truly amazing young people, and one of the best coaches I have ever seen in any sport!
Satchel Maj it captured the effort put in for these performances and the emotions that happen, the pace of it all on the floor, the chaos of coordinating all those bodies that you can’t see from angles like this. It was great, as a former competitive cheerleader. So many camera angles have you an idea of the struggle going on with the bases and backs, when usually all you’re seeing is the talented and mystifying flyer! But down there, we’re throwing around serious weight too, and it’s controlled chaos, running around into and out of formation. I couldn’t believe how well it caught that, and also the tension that builds as practices get closer to performance. Unreal. Thank you for being so proud of your daughter and her athleticism! If only my father were lol
This routine is absolutely amazing. I can't believe lexi can tumble like that on an unsprung floor and with all her hair in her face. Girl has incredible power!
Netflix didn’t go a good job capturing this cause THIS LEFT ME SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s like I know these people!!!!!! GOOOOO JERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Netflix documentary gave me so much motivation through law school. I know law school and cheer is not near the same, but when i saw how much they fought, and repeated the routine and then win, it just gave me so much motivation in school. Thanks, Navarro College!!!
Man. After watching "Cheer", seeing what they have to do every single day, and then watching it pay off like this in 2 minutes and 15 seconds... nothing but mad respect 👏👏👏 Amazing!!
Ive watched this many times. Its fascinating to zone in on each individual and see how much work they do. Not only that..the level of encouragement and communication between them is astounding.
Was in tears this entire show. I did competitive cheer for 17 years out of my 25 years of life! I won NCA one time out of the many times I competed, after watching CHEER I felt every emotion they did after coming off the mat, and just bursting into tears after hitting. The feeling you get is the most insane adrenaline rush. I miss cheer so badly and wish I could go back and compete just one last time. I have a 1 year old daughter, and I hope she follows in my footsteps and I get to see her compete one day out on that mat. Loved every cheerleader on this show, Jerry and Lexi you have my heart!! ❤️
I’ve watched this so many times looking at different people each time, and can I just say: it makes you appreciate how many facets of the routine there are!!!! Every step is purposeful, and they make it look entertaining, powerful and high quality. I love it!!
I watched the documentary when it came out but watching this again now... I had to keep starting the video over because there is SO MUCH TO SEE. The tumbling, the stunts, the choreography, the sheer amount of content is mind-blowing. I love how much energy they have while still managing to stay in unison and hitting all the accents in the music and not looking robotic. I did intramural cheerleading for about 2 semesters as a flyer at my Div III women's college so our stunts were nothing like these and I just have so much respect for all the work they have to put in.
the fact that the can tumble like that on dead may is phenomenal! edit: thank you guys for the likes! please subscribe i’m going to start posting, open gyms, tutorials, hauls, vlogs, etc. stay tuned!
These kids are AMAZING ! I watched the whole season on Netflix the other day ! I live in Australia ! You guys are stars !!!! You should be soooooo proud of what you have all accomplished 👍👍👍👍
I cried when I watched this on Netflix. Seeing them HIT everything was emotional for me! God I miss my cheer days!!!! Thanks for bringing back so many memories!
getting emotional watching this after watching the whole documentary, 2 mins of performance but how much work they put into this and how hard it is... so proud of them!!
mystictinkerbell i NEEEEEED a second season at the very least, specifically with this squad/the people you named in the cast. I heard Varsity is giving them a hard time about it... So, it might not happen 💔
@@TSUNAMI-MAMI due to popular demand. They are currently filming a second season. The fact that Gabi, Morgan, Lexi, Jerry and Ladarius are all back on the team. Even though they already completed their 2 year term.
Go watch cheer on Netflix right now it’s just so amazing and seeing this after it just comes to show you about the hard work and determination that each person on the team has
Thank you for sharing just the routine head on with no camera cuts or zooms. Finally get to see a clean take of it like an audience member. Very much appreciated!
I’ve watched this multiple times. There’s so much to watch and the routine is so amazing. I have to admit, one of the times I watched Monica and that was it. It’s so heartwarming to see her and the crowds reaction. I love the atmosphere.
Sasha Smith - dead mat means no springs or anything to help with the power of their skills which all star cheer uses. It’s just a rolled out mat over that hard wood 🙌🏼
Thank you Navarro Cheer and Netflix for letting me relive my cheer days! By the end of the season, I felt like I was part of this team! Lexi’s tumbling pass still blows my mind! And Jerrryyy forever has my cheer ❤️!!!
They hit a zero! All of their hard work, tears and blood. They gave me motivation that no matter where you came from you can do anything! I love each and everyone one of them🥺❤️
I got chills, and then my mouth literally dropped open. Human beings are capable of doing absolutely insane things. I've never seen the series, but I couldn't even conceive what they had to go through to be able to do that. One of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. People are awesome
You people are CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY amazing!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooo... I loved this series!! All of these athletes had my heart from beginning to end. I was a cheerleader for 16 years (midget football through college) ... I felt all of their emotions from start to finish - good and bad... especially that emptiness when it was all over after graduation. Ugh. Monica is an incredible leader in every way. She had some difficult choices to make and you could feel her heart hurting, but she did the right thing for her team. It paid off!! Go, Navarro!!
Those of you who didn’t cheer don’t understand why their coaches reaction to their final pyramid makes the performance feel complete. Your coaches will literally put you through mental, physical, and emotional hell when conditioning you to flawlessly put out the routine, what people don’t realize is that the routine is as much heart and soul from the coaches as it is from the athletes. Coaches give their teams their vulnerability and hope that they taught their team well enough to do right by their coach, and once you hit that final pose in the stunt sequence your home free and all that’s left is the dance so you can really enjoy your team performing. Watching the coaches react to a routine with no falls is the best thing about comp imo (besides pyramid sequence) lol
Watching this after the Cheer on Netflix is really something else. I didn’t realize how fast everything was!!! Can’t tell you how much admiration and respect I’ve gained for the sport after watching it
This is such a better angle than any of the documentary shots. I had no IDEA they were getting that much air! Their athleticism is SO impressive!!! Love them all
It’s sooo weird because you feel like yall know them personally. And you feel so proud and all stuff like thaaaat and *sobs a lil* goooogghh THEYRE SO GREAT IM PROUD OF YALLLLLL lmao
Im from new zealand and the cheer community is very small but im stoked to have seen this docuseries...these kids are bloody amazing, disciplined and so hungry.....monica really does have such an anazing heart for these kids ❤😊❤😊 thanks netflix for showing us just how hard these kids work....and making me realise that i as a parent can push my kids to be more with hard work😊😊❤❤
After watching the Netflix series I felt part of the fucking team...got super hype when they hit all the stunts and pyramid...I know I and a ton of other people relate to them not just in cheerleading but also other disciplines and sports...you can overcome so much through being part of a family away from your family or broken home... First you cry because you feel bad when they go through their own emotional challenges... Then you cry because they got through all that and were able to put on a near perfect performance... I got teary eyed at the end of this full-out...
Bro, I was screaming the whole time seeing this on the show. It's like they're my friends. It's incredible how much a history can reach to you, if you know the feeling of doing something you love so much. I cried my eyes out at the end of the last episode.
