Navidad, A Concordia Christmas 2023 

Concordia University Irvine's Navidad! A Concordia Christmas is its annual made-for-TV special featuring music produced and filmed on its campus and in the surrounding Orange County area. This year’s theme, Navidad, reflects on the cherished tradition of Las Posadas. Celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries, Las Posadas focuses on Mary and Joseph’s journey door-to-door in search of shelter. After many closed doors, being rejected and turned away, their sojourn ends in a joyful celebration, the wondrous birth of Christ in a humble stable.
The narrated special includes arrangements of favorite Christmas carols performed by Concordia’s choirs, orchestra, handbells, and student soloists, as well as the Americana, jazz, and commercial music ensembles. Learn more: www.cui.edu/ar...
