I'm dutch and I discovered Dr Ross today 😂 But I need to study his hypothesis about the connection between science and bible first, to give A objective opinion. But I believe in a creator.

This is actually Biblical design for church life and practice. 1 Corinthians 14 gives us the blueprint… “EVERYONE has a word, a song, etc….” Unfortunately, men’s traditions have created a clergy/laity divide putting clergy above people… not Gods design. Nowhere in the Bible is a day described as 24hours. God called light day and darkness night. Leave it at that and there is no problem. We are told not to add to or subtract from the Word of God. The light and darkness cycle on earth was established on creation day 4. Even then the spin of the earth was about 4 hours long. Its still slowing down and is approximately 24 hours long today. The Bible also states that a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. This statement makes it VERY CLEAR that time is relative! Einstein proved that too. God said let there be light and separated it from darkness on creation day one. And evening and morning indicates darkness and light not 24 hours. On earth that is only 12 hours. The Hebrew word for day has four meanings and one is a long finite period of time. The Bible also states that the laws of physics are fixed. That means the speed of light is fixed. God did stretched out the heaven dividing the waters about from the waters below creating space which is still expanding. It's impossible to know how much time is involved when time is measured using movement. Time is relative. Please stop arguing about something we know nothing about. The young earth view is not the only creationist view, actually it’s only been a predominant view among evangelicals for about 50 years. A much more traditional view is the understanding that there is an undefined time gap between v1 and v2 of Genesis. This gap view also harmonizes many other biblical texts. Truly, linguistically v2 can be translated “but the earth became formless and void” and so it was in earlier versions of the KJV. The gap also explains when the angelic fall happened and how the earth became in the state of judgement due to Satan’s actions. I know that many young earth people militate against the gap. Personally I remain undecided. My view is that the main thing is that the main thing remains the main thing. That is, Jesus is God. He intentionally died for our corruption and disobedience. He rose to life again on the third day to establish His supremacy over death. If we turn away from our selfish ways and accept Jesus as Lord and thank him for bearing the punishment we deserve, we will be raised again to eternal life and be adopted as God's children, living in His presence and goodness for eternity. Not the least of which is the principle that says that the simplest meaning is often the preferred meaning unless the simplest meaning would put the meaning of the text in violation or conflict with the other principles of hermeneutics. Since we are talking about the meaning of Hebrew words, isn’t it also possible that the simplest interpretation is that “yom” means a literal 24 hour period and “evening and morning “ mean literally evening and morning? Are there principles of hermeneutics that you can think of which would make it imperative for us to reject the simplest meaning in favour of some other meaning? No, Yom means any part of the day, one 24 hour day, or 1 long period of time. That's literally what it means in Hebrew. You can still honor the 6 God-days of creation by resting on the 7th day of the week. I hope you realize that God's view of time is very different than ours right?
