Let us forget we have a saying: God helps those helping themselves, because gods have a perfect record of doing nothing. Let us ignore nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital. Let us ignore a wicked generation seeks signs. A deity unable to be acknowledged by everyone is a forgery based on literature. Oppression builds character among the dominated. Who do you think nailed the king of the Jews, when Imperial Rome controlled temples & publications? Just for the fun of it, have their Messiah say render to Caesar? My sheep hear my voice. Think not I come with peace, but sword. The literate of the age; built religions & made propaganda, devalued the currency, too. Marvel not I say you are all gods, and so on & so on. Faith is a fantasyland term, & the Christians hate to hear it. If faith had any value, then you could move mountains by voice-command. We know there is no god outside of fiction. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. The Christians slapped their books on the Old Testament, & the Mormons glued theirs on to them both, thus proving Christians lack quality-control. Think not I come with peace, but sword. I come to divide this that and the other thing, & I give you tax exempt status.

Amen to Follow Jesus, not just any church. Participating in a strong, faith-based church congregation led by a true hearted, honest, humble, and follower of Jesus that leads a church with true directions straight from God's Word is, in my experience, very hard to find... Very hard. I was raised devout traditional Catholic and everything started changing in my teens. We moved to the south where the general population was not Catholic and that's okay. The Catholic Church here was very different. Southern women seemed to run the priest and the church. I thank gossip is one of Satan's greatest tools. I think twisting the Bible to suit your needs is a tool used by all kinds of corrupt church leaders and followers. These are what I was exposed to in my young adulthood and it made me turn away from going to church. I love the way Baptists in the south know the Bible and its verses and I love the way they praise God with awesome songs that lift your spirit straight to heaven, but I still feel very unfulfilled as the congregations gather to gossip and pretty much do exactly what they just talked about not doing during service. My disappointment is always with humans, never with God. I know Jesus loves me and when I call on his name I feel the warmth of his love and the strength he lends me to get through my life. My life from the time I was walking as a 2-year-old has been full of every abuse imaginable up until now at 53 years old. I could never escape the bonds of abuse but I know God has always had angels and Jesus to be by my side to protect me from death. Strength of my face has made me strong enough to keep a happy positive attitude and be able to help others at any given time, lend them a moment of a smile, perform a small act of kindness that I know through experience will help them just enough to get to the next moment. I have lately been drawn back to the Catholic Church and I realize all the beauty and power in the sacraments and solemn prayers. To me, the atmosphere of the church provides a great environment to feel closer to God and more open in your heart to give all to God. Even if it is a church out in the middle of the woods surrounded by God's awfulness, it's the atmosphere altogether of a church that helps listen to that church's leader. But if you have a corrupt immoral leader it doesn't matter what building or atmosphere you're in. You will know in your heart it is wrong. I was conflicted for the last two decades of going to church because humans have twisted things and forgot it's about God and following Jesus down a path of light to live God's plan. I myself have taken the advice from a false leader of a church who encouraged me to believe that God just wants us to be happy. I have learned in my heart through prayer and listening in silence that while God is not a cruel God, he is a powerful and almighty God and sometimes suffering is part of the plan. There is always a lesson to be learned through suffering. Even if it's to learn the kindness of others who want to help you through your suffering. I'm not saying that I think God plans rape or domestic violence or child abuse at all. I'm just saying that a true follower must learn to accept that if we live through it there was a reason. Those are the most hard trials to go through. I have lived through so many but at the same time I have a life time of blessings. More blessings than trials for sure. My husband is forcing a divorce on me at the moment through his years of abuse which have now turned into several instances of infidelity and blatant cruelty. It twists my heart and knots to have to break my promise to God of the vows, but I must so that I can be free to be a good person and follower of Jesus. My time trying to help my husband is over. I have to trust that God will protect me and others after me from the evilness but at this time my need for a clean, faith-based honest church with a morally sound, honest, and Bible following leader is eminently important to me. And if I can't find one, I will let the natural flow of the Bible and my love of God and Jesus lead me to do the best I can with what's left of my life. Kirk, I have followed you for years now on social media and you are a true inspiration of all that is good in a human and I appreciate your presence so very much. Your love for God is so strong I can feel it in your words while I listen to you and it makes my heart cry with gladness to find a connection with another human. May God bless you with encouragement and strength to always be there for people like myself searching for good humans so they don't feel so alone in the world. ❤❤
12 step problems were banned from meeting in person during the Covid lockdown in Seattle… Forcing me to be isolated in my home while only being able to go to Seattle to work my essential job at a hospital right next to CHOP… a war zone in my opinion now looking back. It is by the grace of God more people didn’t get hurt 🙏 I see now that when an addict or alcohol is left without their support groups and community, we suffer… but we still learned how to suffer together. Some made it but more than I want to say did not or are still lost in the world to the disease of addiction. Church’s should not work with any government in my opinion nor should any of the tithing money go to meeting more than the basic needs of the church’s prudent reserve for standard operations. If I remember, correctly, back in the day preachers and ministers did Gods work for free is that correct? For free and for fun 🤷🏻♀️
Ive been doing Devos from some very good Christians. They have lived what i couldnt catch on to from the bible. Others points of veiw have been amasing to learn from.
