Navigation Plotting is an essential skill for working in the maritime industry. This video is an introduction to some of those concepts. If you've spent lots of time on the water, but have not pursued a professional license, you should consider yourself a candidate for an Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) 6-Pack license. This license allows you to charter vessels with up to 6 paying passenger and is the first step to a career in the maritime industry, full-time or part-time!

One- of the greatest gifts to humanity is teaching. The second is teaching WELL! and Capt. Dave you achieved both! Your tone and pace is excellent. Now far from my Eastern Shores I do enjoy the accent, which of course we know we don't have but everyone else has one.

excellent video, you have no idea how many of these videos make it more confusing! I am working at a new job where we have to use zulu time(science lab) so the refresher on military time was very helpful.

I find it ironic how sometimes school is harder than working...however, there's more pressure when it comes to a job, not because it's hard, but because there is a lot more at stake if you happen to fail. Depending on the job, there's less tolerance for error. At least that's how it's been in my experience. This method is great if you need to study for a test or something. If you need it for work, however, you might as well use an app that calculates time. I use one called "Calculator" by MINDBOX.

Dunno, seems very easy to me. And Id calculate it differently. But I guess for sone people it is easier to have a video on it. And for that, I think, you did a very good job. Thanks for posting.
