I've watched quite a few of these reunions and would have to put this near the top of the heap! Loved seeing that little girls face when she opened her eyes and saw her mother!
Simply calling her a "petty officer" isn't the correct style. First of all, there are petty officers at three different rates. Second, the sailor's rating and rate are combined, so a petty officer second class who is a boatswain's mate is referred to as a BM2.
