How about the Dad being a great Dad and support his son by finding a Navy SEAL to help him. This is what we need more of in our society, to teach, honor, and value fatherhood. It is sorely missing.
Strong and honourable male role models are in short supply unfortunately. We need more mentors on the bridge of adolescence for boys who are by and large ignorant, naive and stoopid.
I’m a high school drop out and had periodic moments of homelessness. Enlisted in the Army, went airborne, deployed, and was honorably discharged. I am now gainfully employed, have a family, and will graduate with my MBA in September. I shed many tears but still moved forward from support of those around me. People want to help those who help themselves. Airborne.
I'm training to be a Navy Seal when I told my friends this is what I want to do they laughed at me and said you could never do that I told my dad and he said dude think realistic that's way to extreme for you your to nice a guy. Someday I'm going to achieve this.
Hey Man i must know you. I am in the similiar situation, my older brother says that this is the only one think that he would talk me out of. But he doesn't see my life from within. I am really introverted and i just can't stand people who do fking nothing with their lives and just talk sht. I want to achieve great things so i can inspire people and especially young generations. Because i just feel that living just to survive fkin suck. I am driven by Goggins, Gregg plit and a lot more people.
Had a friend who had a son that would be considered a loser in high school. Always in trouble. Had trouble with authority. He was smart and had awesome grades, but that did not make up for all his other issues. After graduating high school, he joined the Army. Something in him transformed. He found something he loved. Structure. After two years, he applied to West Point under a program available to current solders. He was selected, went to the Prep School and was admitted. He graduated and after a few years, he is now serving as a Captain with an infantry unit.

His story is kinda misleading. I expected him to say "I was a criminal, I did drugs, I beat people up" instead he just says "I didn't study in school." Really? That makes you a loser?
@Dave Chappelle I don't think Scott went to Iraq for the money. Once you do all the accounting and take into account all of the risk, the money isn't that much. Operators, operate and given a chance to do it free from all of the red tape, many of them are going to take it because sitting on the sidelines can be soul crushing. One thing to remember about war, very few people go thinking it will be them going home in a body bag. He would probably be alive today if the corporate greed, logistical inefficiency or government red tape allowed them to have armored trucks and fully automatic weapons. Not much you can do when 30 7.62 x 39 rounds comes screaming through an aluminum truck body in less than 10 seconds.
@Dave Chappelle well, unless youre into motivational speaking like the guy in this video, those special forces people tend to only know one life to live. anything else is well, less.
Dave Chappelle you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Those of us who serve or have served in the military, do what we do because we want to. When the highly skilled operators enjoy what they do for a job, it’s not about the money, it’s about the service, doing what you enjoy and what you’re good at. You’re out of you element and you’re opinion is without any experience in this line of work. Move on!
some of these cucks just want to cry about those who protect others where they are too cowardly or afraid to die for their people, i would love to serve but i doubt i would be allowed in due to depression and some other mental issues. but my thoughts on protecting others with my life is more than all of it.
This is my dream. Since I was 9 years old I had my mind made up. I’m 14 now and I started working out in august. I’m proud of myself for training. I went from being able to do 1 pull up to doing 15. This summer I plan to focus on swimming. Running is the hardest part for me which is why I run about everyday. I need to be better at the stuff I hate then the stuff I like in my opinion. My inspiration is Chris Kyle after seeing the movie American Sniper.
Never give up man. Keep going till you can’t no more. Your body may be shaking and begging for you to stop, but it’s mind that counts. The brain is powerful and your body is only there to support. A strong mind and will, will you get you anywhere. You CAN do it.
GoatPickle amazing. I also plan on becoming a SEAL when I graduate from highschool. Never ever ever give up on your dream. You can really do anything that you put your mind to. You don't even need to be the most athletic person in the world. The thing that gets you through is sheer will and determination. One thing that really inspires me is Robert O'Neill The man that killed Osoma Bin Laden. He didnt even know how to swim when he went into BUD/S and he made it to the most elite team in the World, Seal team 6 (DEVGRU) I will become a SEAL or I will die trying.
Follow through. The best advice i can give is do not doubt yourself. The next big advice i can give is do not quit. Training is 90% mental. You and Tyler here in your replies can do it. One day ill be be proud to call you guys shipmate. You guys will do amazing things as long as you keep up with your training. Hooyah guys
flawed statement, sounds nice though. What if you thought you couldn't...but, overcame by some slim margin. Then the "I can't" thought you had was wrong. One is never always right regardless. Sometimes,...many times, one is wrong; and must prove to themselves that they were wrong to doubt themselves and/or foolishly believe they could when they in fact can not.
Remember people. Self help requires action. not just imagining, or "wanting" it. U gotta change ur habits, change who u are, identify why you can't go forward and actively change it.
One impt lesson the Army taught me was not just about not giving up but what it would mean if we gave up at that moment. Real motivation doesn't come from people yelling at you, ir comes from people influencing you to think right for yourself
I wanted to be a seal too.....but the zoo keepers kicked me out of the enclosure Edit:It is just a joke,i don't mean any disrespect to the Navy SEALs or any person serving.
Look People. Seals are Great. I'm an Army Ranger. I was in the same Ranger Class with David Goggins. He even told me that Rangers are just as tough as Seals! I'll never forget when he told me that. God Bless You All. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!! ALL THE WAY!!!
7:47 really got me. R.I.P our Navy Seal. We thank you for your service and risking your life for ours. You may not see this in reality. But you will see this from up above. You are a strong and a very brave person and thank you once again for giving your life for us. R.I.P to the fallen Seal.
I love stories like this one. I was a high school drop out, who joined the military. Once I completed boot camp and initial training, I reported to my first duty station. There, I was fortunate enough to have had several mentors who helped me rise from E-1 to E-5 in a very short time. They also encouraged me to go back to school and earn my undergraduate degree. I left the military, graduated from college, and went to officer candidate school. My commissioned service culminated in a graduate degree, and retirement after 20 honorable years of service. Was I special? Don’t think so. However, I was motivated by someone who told me that I was a nobody, and would never amount to anything. That stinging assessment of the teenage me drove me to prove them wrong.
I made the choice and I’m at the hotel waiting to go get my physical and see the doc tomorrow. This gave me even more of a push! I’ve got this and like I told everyone I’m going big and I’m not going home!!! Navy Seals! All day and night! NAVY STRONG 💪
"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. BE STRONG!!! GOOD WILL COME DONT GIVE UPPPPPPP!!! I BELIVE IN YOU!!!
I'm a 14 year old kid and this is helping me so much. My dream is to join the army and these speeches is what's gets me up and makes me push myself to my goal. I know I have 3 years till I'm able to join but I want to be prepared I want to be the strongest and fastest I can be so I exceed my goals and do more than what I think I'm capable of. These videos is what keeps me going and I just want to say thank you.
I wanted to be a seal but was blessed with blazing lack of speed and height. But what I lacked in brawn I more than made up for in grit, determination and smarts. I became an Army Combat Engineer and a Danm good one. Not everyone can become a Seal or Green Beret as it is a combination of a lot of factors. But you can be an awesome soldier. This advice was given to me by a mentor of mine who completed Buds at 28 after 10 years in the navy. Kept putting in for it until they took him. Did multiple rotations in Iraq, Afghanistan until his body could do no more. Just retired from the navy after 28 years. Still looks like he is 25 but has the wisdom of Yoda...
Wow! A very real life story of a man’s turning point. Inspirational and Personal. Sad for the loss of his friend and trainer. These Navy Seal Men are Awesome! And that’s “Love and Respect” coming from a Vietnam Era USMC Sergeant! Salute!
Wow, now that's a good story! It's interesting how men who pursue and then excel in military life often have these amazing stories with those clear, defining moments that took them from a path of a loser to a life of excellence!
This…this is motivation, I’m not gonna be a Frogman but I will be a deputy sheriff. My original job plan was to be in the 72nd ranger battalion but that didn’t last long when I started to watch police tributes and realize how cool sheriffs/officers are. So I went from want ping to be in the military to wanting to be a deputy sheriff.
Hey Chad, Richard from jolo, I'm back in the saddle. Just covered a double suicide bombing there. Heading back out next month, call you when I get back. Take care my friend. God bless!
“Never for any reason do anything to anybody, ever, for any reason, no matter who, or what, or where, or where you’re going, or where your coming from, for any reason, no matter what, ever. And that’s a quote I live by.” -Michael Scott
I have a cousin that was SEAL... civilian life ended up being his greatest challenge. After being deployed into combat all across the world for over a decade, he couldn't adjust to life as a Civ. It's been 20 years now, and he still hasn't really adjusted, and i feel the only reason he hasn't killed himself yet, is simply the drive to not 'ring out'.
TRADING CRYPTO HAS NOT BEEN GOING WELL WITH ME, I HAVE INVESTED A LOT OF TIMES AND FAILED, I TRADE ON MY OWN BUT EACH TIME I KEEP LOOSING MONEY, I DON'T HAVE GOOD STRATEGIES TOWARDS THE MARKET. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE PUT ME THROUGH ON THE RIGHT PATH.
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor trade.. I will advice you to stop trading on your own it's very risky. Seek advice of a professional trader.
@@joshualee5551 That's true most people today have been having a lot of failure in Forex and crypto sector because of poor orientation and bad experts.
Making money is the plan and with Bitcoin your plans can be accomplish, I really appreciate Mrs Olivera influence during this global pandemic lock down, Bitcoin trading is the best when you are on a profitable based platform.
as long as you put your mind to it and you have faith and hope in it you’ll get there, no matter if it’s hard or easy the only way to get there is to start, no matter what anyone else says or thinks only thing that matter is what you think, the sky is the limit follow your dreams and keep pushing no matter how hard it is
My older Brother Served in the Navy and Went back in I had a Navy Vet ask me if Mike is my Brother, When I said "yes" He went on and told me What a Hero he was. I stopped him and said "While that's all well and good For me MIKE was and forever will be a A$$HOLE (He broke my nose Three times)
Its amazing. 20 years ago very few peeps even knew what a SEAL was. Now...you can't swing a dead cat without popping a yapping SEAL up side the head!! There was an old saying: Loose lips, sink ships.
@Elise Twait Delta Force, it recruits people from all elite branches like Rangers, Seals, PJs. And take on missions that not even Seals can handle. Devgru or "Seal team 6" is the best Seal team out there. The rest of the seals are tier 2. Dont get me wrong they're tough as nails, but they're not the best.
Sorry for your loss of your brother and mentor!! You honor him in meeting the challenge that he knew you could do! I had a mentor like that when I was going through E.O.D. School! I never got the chance to thank him. God bless you
I was the same guy. Although I had just won a State title in wrestling and become an Eagle Scout I felt I was not meeting my potential. Two months later I stepped of the bus at PARRIS ISLAND. I served as a Marine for 8 years. 40 years later I look back at a family of 5 kids and 12 grandkids. I own a business that employs 300 people and serve as mayor of my home town. And some folks think I am a failure because I never borrowed 200,000 dollars to go to college.
I remember listening to one of Ray Lewis's rants about how he reveled in adversity, he embraced struggle as an opportunity. It was kinda nuts (classic Ray Lewis) but i could understand what a powerful mindset that would be.
