@@dilf4097 Autotune is a _type_ of vocal processing sorta like how every square is a rectangle but only some rectangles are squares -- Nayeon clearly doesn't _need_ autotune, but pop music anywhere is going to be overprocessed, which is a damn shame because Nayeon's raw vocal is great

Nayeon doesn't NEED autotune but Kpop by its nature overprocesses vocals anyway and that makes dumbasses think these girls can't sing when they really can… To be fair, Twice doesn't help their case in Korea by the backtrack being turned up so loud -- it's not like that in Japan which cares _way_ more about authenticity and Twice ALWAYS sing live there…

The recording sessions are rarely shown publicly 'cause of the confidentiality, for some companies. But the fact that JYPE released this behind the scenes of the recording session proves(obviously) how confident they are of Nayeon's incredible vocals. Pop is a Bop.

I think JYP doesn’t show Twice’s recording session because not all of them are equal in terms of singing ability, so it might be embarrassing to some members. If you’ve seen the Mnet reality shows (Produce and GP999), they do show the recording sessions - and some always come across flattering while others become humiliated.

Seems like Nayeon's talking voice is deeper than her singing voice. It's just an observation of mine. You can clearly hear how Nayeon belts her song verses to her utmost capacity without any lingering setbacks. It's like singing high notes is normal breathing on her part, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I'm happy for her. She finally got the opportunity to debut as a solo artist. Even though she's probably around 26 or 27, it seems like she's way younger than that. Looking forward to more single releases. I want to hear her singing using deeper vocals. It would be vastly different from Pop! that's for sure.

I think it's a thing with singers, their speaking voice is normally lower than their singing voice. I hear it in Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Jungkook, among others. I guess it's to not overwork their voice. But I love hearing her deep voice xD

i think there’s a lot of misconceptions about what auto tune is actually doing. most artists use it. it’s just enhancing their vocals & fixing any slightly pitchy areas. it’s not changing everything drastically, even though that can be done as an artistic style

It's great to hear her singing without dancing at the same time. When I first became a Once, I thought that singing was Twice's weakness. Then I discovered that they actually sing live and I learned more about singing while dancing and how difficult it really is. Footage like this is great to see, considering that she normally has to belt our these notes while dancing, which makes it hard/nearly impossible to put as much chest into them as she does here.

All the hate is just because of their encores that happened 2/3 years ago. Haters are obsessed with hating on twice only because of those encores, they don't have anything else as proof for why they can't sing.
