Most of the sweats online can’t and don’t play SP my career. Leave the sweats to go where sweats go IRL. The park. I’m all for letting 3v3 be a wasteland of cheese. I’ll take a little longer wait time for rec and 5v5. If it means being online with people who’ve spent time learning ball and not learning every little exploit and weakness in the game design. Also if they would just add a floor general menu for rec it would help. Adding more defense options like 1-2-2, Box and 1, 1-3-1, and ameba zone with the indicator matching the system instead of man marking. Offense play calling is and has always been really bad. The fact you can’t really run sets creates this problem. Makes for a selfish team environment. Also they need to make assists like 10vc a dime. If they put VC priority on the desired player traits in modern basketball. They could change the culture like that!
Tbh 2k took the wrong route micro transactions listing to the famous ppl in the community but not the average consumer meaning they fw who spend the most money(content creators) and not the casuals who play to have fun with friends
I promise u they don’t listen to content creators, content creators just meat ride the game and devs no matter what they do in hopes that they get logos. They don’t even cater to the casuals either, the real ppl 2k actually cater to are the guys that have negative win% and cry that something is broken when they just aren’t good and can’t compete, making them envious.

There are so many good players on 2k that don’t want to play in the 2k league or stage for whatever reason, that doesn’t take away from the fact that they are good. In no way am I saying that they are the best because they haven’t went against the best but they are above average. Me personally, I play 2k because I love the sport of basketball and it angers me when ppl that have never picked up a ball irl have the audacity to ask for changes in said basketball game. But whether u like it or not, there is a loud minority of ppl that don’t care abt whether the game is good or not, they only care abt if they win or not. Those ppl can’t win if the game is too balanced because skill will be the determining factor. So they complain and complain and complain, then the devs are forced to make changes that didn’t need to be made. Then boom, another trash 2k. This cycle repeats every 2k.

Example; Centers tend to be the only ones who can manage a triple double and most of them only get one by Hail Mary chucking it to players leaving the defense early to essentially cherry pick. Now, I play center and yes I will deep outlet but most of the time it’s by happen stance. Generally I’m ripping down the board and icon passing to my SF or to the PG. a lot of times my dimes come from inside out and cross court relays, you know actually playing the five. If this community stuck to the basics. Like driving the lane and dumping it to the dunk spot once the center commits… easy dimes. But this community is cooked. They don’t look at the easy dime and 11 APG like it’s the cool thing to do. They take more about how they rock 60 bombs running Murray behind the back to death until they get their little stop shot trash. Btw as someone who played my whole life growing up, rocking side to side tells everyone you don’t actually know how to open up driving lanes. The game itself is good like you said 7/10 honestly me and my squad switch up our lineup for rec and learn different play style I’ve went from sharp to a hybrid PF so we are having fun learning new builds going against the Meta in rec.
2K needs to just do them bruh .If they listen to the community, then the game is trash because they don't listen to us. and if they do listen, then the game is trash because they listen to us. imo, if they lower the cost to upgrade your character more, (And I'm not talking about from 400,000 VC to 250,000 VC cuz that's still outrageous) then the complaints wouldn't be as volatile as they are now. Never really play online I have bad latency and can never shoot so I play a rodman build online it’s stupid, I run around for 3 hours looking for a court and waiting to get in a game and if I don’t get booted by a squad taking the spots anyone over 90 leaves any queue I’m in because I’m only 88 rated and don’t have any rep but the irony is I have 0 shooting stats and got 99 strength 99 def and off rebound and highest vertical and steals and quite fast on a 6’9 PF so I get like 3 blocks and 10 rebounds and 5or 6 assists from getting the ball out on offensive rebounds and do nothing but defend and pass and screen for everyone but no one wants to let me in any games even though I’m the perfect teammate for the cheesing dribble shooters. I got in a game with an OP point guard who got like 18 points each game from limitless and a two way dude and we went in a 7 game win streak against mascots and high level guys. how much money do you have to put into this game just be able to play on the park it’s relentless. No one wants to play with you if your not a Demi god nailing 3s from your own half but simultaneously don’t want anyone else to score haha
Part of the reason i feel like everyone wanna hop on and sweat is cause thats on 2k. Builds cost 100 plus mfs dont feel like dropping bread on a ok game to make experimental builds.

The problem is they will never please everyone, ever. The community is too diverse, bums, casuals, casuals who think they're "comp", "comp", and pro players. That tied to the amount of builds you can make is gonna make pleasing everyone with every aspect of the game is gonna be impossible.
I honestly get how you casually play a game where you have to and want to win. No one don't want to be a loser, so you can't go out there online and put up your best game.
The problem has always been the community anyway they'll always call the game good when it first comes out complain about the game play later and than call it trash and the worst 2k game ever its been this Problem since like 2k21 or 2k23 now (Sorry if my English isn't good I'm still learning it 😅)
I've stuck with NBA eras. The cheese is not there much and it's fun. Plus create your my player for free. Guys are suckers paying 2k $100+ a year for my career or my team just to do it again from scratch the next year.
They really are making a fortune with just barely updating rosters and attributes and it’s trash. kids wont get it but streaming platforms made games boring. Remember back on PS2 days for example when you and friends would get on the game and play tp have fun ? Those days are gone because streamers try to break and glitch the game the second it comes out and a minute later everyone is breaking it with them. We got bigs with 80 three balls guards with 85+ and due the game latency or skipping we miss. So yes we going to complain and let me tell you don’t even bother with pro am. Ant no one can shoot in there. On top of that we can’t even practice are shot in pro am anymore. Also, personal note I’m tired of paying $70.00 for a game that ends up being on sale for $30.00 like wtf is that man or they put it for free.
