Junior Flyboiiant Yeah I've been saying the same thing. It was good because you got a reason to play 2k after the season was over. I think if they put it together right by adding the new drafted rookies for you to play against it would be great.
I used to like it when in 2k10 they had that 2K insider that would critique your game or suggest what points you should put into your player and then like you were able to go to the D league and stuff I thought that was dope. 2k18 should be realistic at least bringing back D league or overseas because making it into the NBA is tough
j71680 this, if your going to force us to be a 55 overall, and cap our real overall at an 85, make the story fit that. There's no reason that a 55 overall should be playing in the NBA let alone drafted in the lottery. Bring back high school and college, but give us more games and the option to sim them. If you put in the work, then let us max out at a 78 overall. Give us branching stories depending on our path; High school/college stand out who is a surefire top 3 pick and gets treated like it, underrated guy coming out of high school but played great in college, raw player that didn't play great in college, unstated rookie who gets a ten day contract and has to try out for a team. Then let us go to the combine and try to improve our draft stock. Bring back the showcase, pre-draft interview, and scouting reports. Let us go to the summer league and earn vc their. All of this should be able to be simmed through, except for maybe the interview, and showcase. Bring back the old style of post game interviews, we don't need fancy cut scenes. Just small ones for when your talking to your agent, maybe have a teammate that's a friend, but don't force that on us. Short answer: get rid of the extra stuff, and bring back the good old stuff.
Ikr, you play like 4 games and my team made it to the playoffs and won our first game and then it just simulates to the 2nd season without telling you what happened in the playoffs.
Miami Sports Network Ikr I hated that shit. First you gotta go through high school, then college, then the whole damn rookie season, then you can FINALLY just play.
2K11 was life man. Like it was some next level shit. The controls, gameplay, features, and soundtrack were timeless. It really set the bar sports games. I've saying it's the best 2K for a while I'm glad I'm not the only who think so.
for 2k18, they should let us choose to stay in college, with the drawback being that our potential takes a hit, but we enter the NBA with a higher overall.
I wouldn't mind playing a whole season, wouldn't be too bad. But I think you should be able to change how many games are in the season, up to about 60. But I like your idea. I'd love to enter the league at like an 85 or 86 overall if I play in college for four years. I think you should be a 64 or 65 if you play in college for one year, 75 or 76 if you stay for two, 81 for three, 89 for four. I think the difficulty you play on should determine what amount of overall you go up. You get like 8 or 9 attribute points per year. I mean instead of VC, give you attribute points. They don't get payed in college. Now, in MyCareer, like when you get to the NBA, give us 1 attribute point per game, and some VC accordingly.
Sarken the problem is you don't develope that quickly by staying in college. Name 1 player who was a senior in college that was 89 ovr. their rookie year. It would be more like 75 freshman year, 76 sophomore, 77 junior, 78 senior.
njd I agree, they ruined the game. it makes no sense to be a "Sharpshooter" that can't shoot off the dribble just for the sake of balancing issues. You can be a 99 rated point guard but only have your playmaking which is the main role of a point guard capped at an average rating of like 78 max it was a terrible idea
They said that skills matter So If you play trash your player should only have max 80-85 overall and If you play good your Max overall should be 90-95 and If you play really good your Max overall should be 99
Just like u said, they need to separate multiplayer and single player just like in wwe 2k, in multiplayer u don't have to grind and it's casual but in single mode u have to play a story.
I've been subbed since 2K 17 came back to watch some of your old videos and seeing how far you've come in a short amount of time motivate me as a content creator to keep grinding all love Reese 💯🔥☝️🚀
Imagine 2k18 being legitimately multiplayer. I'm not talking about playing as 2 different players like 2k17 with your myplayer and Michael B Jordan, I mean playing with your real friends, getting drafted to the same team, being the dynamic duo of the current generation
They need to stop the fixed storylines. I don't have a twin sister.. my father isn't dead.. I don't want to be part of Orange Juice... My best friend isn't Victor... I don't like being called Prez or Freq.. They need to find a way to give us a good story, but have us choose our own nicknames , our own lives, and our own decisions. I can't stand the fixed/directed stuff.
My first 2k was 14 and i got to admit it was my favourite one by far and worst would be last years 2k16 because fuck that shit had long ass pointless cutscenes hopefully 2k18 they bring us a new creative idea that is 🔥
2k7 will always be my favorite because it changed the way basketball games are made. 2k11 was the best experience but it's been downhill since 2k13 tbh. 2k16 and 17 are the worst in the franchise imo because they stopped focusing on making a good NBA game just appealing to these park rats. I don't even know if imma buy 2k18 just because of how bad it's been since it got on PS4 and Xbox One.
I remember playing 2k11 online with myplayers where every other player in the list was on a team. All the friends in the party would try and back out and hop back in to try and get on the same team. One of the best 2k games IMO
They have to bring back the offseason smh, I personally enjoy playing MC and building a team around me, I missed out on steph as a free agent and cousins smh that's just crazy they took all the control from the game... Why did I pay 60 bucks lol But they need to bring the offseason in depth back and sit down option with gm in season at all times an open door type option Example it can be a build up relationship depending on your play where you can give suggestions on the starting line ups, who you want to draft during the upcoming draft, who you want to aggressively pursue during the offseason, They should also keep the duo theme but with a chemistry based theme like how many ast you and any teammate begin to gather between each other then you can use him as well that would be dope And I a dual my career mode where you and another real person can play with or against that would be crazy
man you did 2k12 dirty..i have some bias towards it because it was the first 2K on my PS3 but it was great in my opinion sure it had some problems, but you had create a legend mode which i still don't fucking understand why it was scrapped you also had actual NBA contracts..like max contract was 25 mil and not that VC trash that was introduced in 2k13 and is ruining the game now and badges actually started in 2k12 because you could upgrade, for example spinning layup..you had poor, good and great if i remember correctly you could also go to all time greats training camps with that money and get a permenant boost to your stats, or you could donate to charity and raise team chemistry or fan popularity with the money Oh and that sweet greatest of all time mode..i loved that you played in old arenas and in black and white filters..amazing..BRING THAT BACK 2K
2k need to start off with highschool , then college , then NBA draft combine , then the draft based on how you did in the draft combine then pre draft interviews like in 2k13 then the top 30 players in the draft combine get to play in the rookie showcase to give the simulated NBA scouts a good look of how the first round should be then after all the draft stuff you do summer league and if your a draft bust you go to the D league but if your good then you go to the NBA... any other ideas ?
2k10 was the first and to me it is still the best. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't mind a little story, but what I liked was how the progression in 2k10 is the most realistic. Draft combine with drills and the ability to be drafted, then the summer league, and training camps which eventually could've led you to being signed onto the roster. I also liked how if you sucked, they sent you to the D-League which hasn't been in the game for a while now. I realize that it is a lot of scrimmages and drills to get your player ratings up, but that's what I enjoyed because all of these aspects made it the most realistic. I like the way 2k18 plays, but this streetball to NBA stuff is so unrealistic. At least make us work to get to the NBA.
"All the rookies had black arms! It might not seem like a big deal till you start running with black arms teammates." WTF THIS IS THE FUNNIEST SHIT EVER
Favorite 2k is probably 2k14 or not 16, although 2k13, 2k11, 2k5 and 2k4 were all dope... 2k6 through 9 had the reelmaker to make movies and upload. 2k3-2k5 had the V.I.P that allowed you to play yourself AND the crib mode
i played 2k10 the whole summer in college in 2011. great game! still missing the time I was using Houston Rockets with: Gilbert Arenas, Kevin Martin, Branden Roy, Louis Scola, center i forgot.
High School- College- Draft Combine- Summer League- NBA. Decent storyline without stupid nicknames, no archetypes, lower VC prizes. Damn, it is too difficult?
2k11 was so realistic with the combine and summer league games. I remember being trash a couple of times and ending up in the D-League lmao it was too realistic
You are 100% correct, I to believe that multi-player should be separate from mycareer, considering how intertwined they are this year. For example, you have to play mypark in order to get your player to a 99 overall, instead of going to the practises in my career mode. They need to bring back Jackson Ellis, I believe having a rival(s) would keep things interesting in my career.
I really wish we could have an entire high school and college season with all the colleges. Thats why we need college 2k hoops so it can be all connected or just get all the real college players
