@@Cody-sk2dr Back in 2000s everyone played live. My first game was Live '06 but social media wasn't popping that much back then so no one remembers, we just played the game. But yeah, since, arguably, 2008 2K has been the more dominant basketball game. 2k11 came out and Live should've wrapped it up right there.
Bro my hair was standing up…I had the volume up and the bass made me feel like I was about to watch an epic ass movie. Without a doubt one of my favorite video gaming memories, it’s close to my first boot up of GTA IV, and my first time on Bloodgultch in Halo 1.
@Thomas Sankara it counts :P since its all about speaking, if you mean like breaking 4th wall and speaking real then yes it might be, but maybe some nba live before 2004 had some cut scene too, so need bigger research for this
I never picked up 2K until I saw 2K12 with Jordan on the cover and you could choose between Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. This one looks pretty epic though.
this made basketball fun again for video games. I know we've had the ability to play with Jordan before, but not on a full team against other teams with his teammates. This blew me away. Still shocking how good this game still holds up. I Find it to be more enjoable than nba 2k18.
I wish this sort of intro would happen in My Player. After winning 12 straight Finals, being voted MVP 11 times, Finals MVP 10 times, Rookie of the Year, D Player of the Year 9 times, All-star team 9 times, and breaking half the NBA records I think I have earned a badass intro.
When I first seen this and Michael Jordan said are you ready I stood up and said yes Michael I am ready and I was loud to my mom thought I lost my mind lol!
I clicked on this randomly thinking nothing of it but holy shit the nostalgia I just experienced is crazy. Anyone remember the “ITS TIME TO PLAY BAS-KET-BALL!” intro in (I think) 2k12? Wow, good times.
Oh man... what an awesome intro! How can you not love this if you're a Bulls fan from the 90's? Only thing better than showing Game 1 of the 1991 NBA Finals would be a fantasy Finals between the 96 Bulls and 87 Lakers. Now THAT would have been one awesome matchup to see.
NBA Live was my go to back then but I remember picking this up totally based on how they promoted it. I never went back. Actually that’s a lie. I picked up Live 2014 but we all know how that went
I know this is mad old but the only ways are to delete your save data or start the game under a guest or profile that's never played the game before . It only launches that very first time .
“Are you ready “ no , mike , I’m not ready . Here we are , nearing the end of 2022 . 2k23 will be out in a month or some shit ( don’t even keep track of the latest 2ks anymore , as they’ve been ruined by greed and laziness . Dumb kids who let momma waste 100 of her hard earned bucks to get a “my player “ 85 overall , let alone max . To grind all day in their rooms playing games to “ the road to 99” … LMFAO I say . Pathetic it is . There will never be another basketball simulation video game like that NBA 2K11 . NEVER . As much as I wish there could be , there just won’t be . So no Jordan , I wasn’t ready , WE weren’t ready . But at least the memories live on . (Sigh)
WHEN I FIRST saw THIS I WAS SCREAMING LIKE A BITCH..... its fucking Michael Jordan. i mean every since we could create a player i always tried to create Jordan just like every one else but we finally got em'
2k21 should have the same concept but with Kobe instead of MJ. It could be like an every ten year thing. 2k31 could be Giannis (or whoever becomes the GOAT of this generation).
