NBA 2K23 Finishing Badges Tier List : Ranking Every Badge for Different Builds

I mean small guards still are fast asf compared to 6’9s have u ever tried to guard a 6,3 dribble god? Shits way harder then guarding a 6’9

Facts. My first build was 6’7” and had 19 finishing badge points. Slithery, Takeoff, and Poster were all tier 3. New build is 2 inches taller and only posterizer is tier 3. I could have all 3 gold or HOF easy with the same amount of badge points. Not just finishing either. For example, Menace went from tier 2 to tier 1, Clamps went from tier 3 to 2, Agent 3 went from tier 3 to tier 2. Players complain about too many 6’9” builds and say stuff like “make an original build 😡”, but rarely do they ever direct their complaints towards 2k and how idiotic it is that they basically give you a big advantage for going 6’9” instead of like 6’5”-6’8”. Just up a couple inches and you can have much better badges with slight hits to physicals.

@@allsmiles3666 because they have given us a decent game in 21& 22. Then an amazing game in 23. And the toxic community have bandwagoned a build each year that has ruined the game. And each year finds ways to justify it

I got that on my build but I also got good defense really good playmaking and an 82 three ball that’s wet

Had a post of 68 and silver wit a 74 str hardly got any animations. remade the build wit 87 post 82 str now I get blowbys like crazy on silver my post is only at 75 but huge difference

I kinda copied a build for my first time playing 2k, and it didn’t recommend Slithery… but I decided to put a point into it as I leveled and quickly noticed how often it was activating. Awesome badge!!

True my rebirth build only has limitless takeoff gold and slithery gold but im still able to dunk and poster , im working on getting my last few badge points tho

Facts. I have a 92 dunk and I equip the pro and elite contacts animation. And I be posterizing without the badge

Do you guys actually find that? Coz I need to core limitless (which is nearly impossible) to be able to get slithery or posteriser. But I don’t know if I need slithery or posteriser more

@@ellismorton7352 If you can equip pro or elite contact dunk animations. Then you don't need posterizer tbh. I say get slithery cause its more useful

It depends on dunk package. Tomahawks work well. Scottie, Lebron and MJ packages activate it a lot.

This helped me because I have it on gold and my player is 6’8. There’s rarely 7’0 footers to play against

@@CooCooCallum I didn’t really like anything in finishing except those anyway. I don’t spin or use moves I’m basically a rebound guy and when I’m in the paint with the ball in good position I take advantage. I don’t post up or drive. Not that I can’t I find it better not to. I’m more of a defensive anchor. I’m using my experience playing my build plus his tier list to try and improve my future experience.

Man I agree with you. acrobat is also a S tier for dunking builds as well. Spin gathers into a dunk, hop step dunks, euro step straight into a dunk as well. I’m not sure how they didn’t put that badge as a S tier. 😵‍💫

They going off the hype and speaking mainly for the builds typically everyone making smh. I have a 6’11 and my combo of slithery(gold) acrobat(gold) and pro touch(HOF) make my dude stupid agile. My layup/dunk is 94/93 but anyone who says those badges aren’t like dat crazy and have a weak playstyle or have meta builds

I have two builds same height and wingspan. One has challenger gold and doesn’t get it at all. Huuuuge difference. Just standing next to them alone gives you a 20% contest. Without challenger, doing the same thing will be considered wide open or open.

And yes it def speeds up the hands up contest

@@August2000reyes honestly in my opinion, if you find yourself guarding the perimeter often I’d say put it to gold. Half the time people don’t hit contested shots either way so I’d say silver but it all depends on how you play defense.

@@KilledUm here’s my context; if I put my perimeter defence up 86, I only have 70 speed. At 80 permiter defence I have like 76 speed … I feel like the speed so I can rotate?

when i drive and accidentally shoot a close shot instead of layup it pops up iam talkin 5ft from basket

@@spillboy I phrased that horribly. It activates all the time but you will really make some contested hooks if you have it on gold or HOF

Get acrobat as high as you can bc that will help you around the rim you won’t just go straight up like a dummy and put pro touch on bronze at least. Don’t listen to these talking heads develope your player and cater to your playstyle. Looking for answers on RU-vid will have you mad asf when it come to your hard earned money and 2K

it’s because you need to have atleast 18 finishing badges when creating your build to be able to core Hof tier 3 badges but I’ve heard it’s a bug so this might get patched

Update: went on today and for my gold and hof it went down to like half way.. making me redo it but i hope it works this time

Same as you bro. Do you ever find that when doing a spin lay/dunk you drop the ball mid spin when the defender is near?

@@reeves111 haven't noticed that happening but sometimes I get a bad animation and it gets blocked

@@reeves111 man I’ve been getting ripped on my spins a lot more this year even if it’s wasn’t a bad attempt. Def less effective this year

The layup timing is so horrible and euros always get blocked. So even if I don't get blocked I always get "late" on my timing even if the meter looks green

slithery, you dont get contacts so posterizer wont do anything.

@@syesworld5506 slithery will activate more often IMO and will save you if you get a minimal amount of contact. That siad if you are good with timing your dunks poster might work better for you.

I have 2 6’7 builds, one with Gold and one with HoF poster. The only difference I’ve noticed is HoF gives a way bigger green window if you use dunk meter

depends on your height and what tier each of these badges are for you. IMO i favor Slithery more. it pops up just about every time i attack the rim.

Slithery b/c it activates on layups and dunks but fearless finisher clutch cos you get hella fouls

Kyrie, Harden, long athlete or jelly. John wall n lebron are good pucks to just depends on ur style like kyrie n Harden are great for euros n such lebron is good at finishing thru traffic with contact

If yo layup 88+ long athlete if its 80+ zack lavine or john wall anything lower default small layups actually cn get the job done

I’ve heard Posterizer is more noticeable if you like to use the dunk meter. If not, Limitless Takeoff and Slithery gets you a lot of dunks if you just use X/Square.

@@Rahkvyo - Limitless only works for certain packages. Slithery activates on any and all finishing moves

Use Posterizer and core it. Posterizer literally pops up for every dunk once you're near someone. Much easier to core it than the other badges.

You start your dunk animation faster that usual put it that way

It helps you get into your animation faster so people have to put a body on you from farther out. Works very good with slithery

Jump distance tests are nice, but not the most important. Take this test, just put quick drop off one, disable the limitless takeoff badge, enter the court alone and start dunking, do like 20 dunks and leave the court and equip the limitless takeoff in silver, and you will see that you only go receive the fastest animation from the quick drop off one, in silver if you jump from a long distance, you will receive the best animation 100% of the time. (It's not just the quick drop off one that gets better animations, some other dunk packs too, but test the quick drop off one and you'll understand what I'm talking about).

Limetless takeoff activates further dunks from the rim more frequently he doesnt actually jump further. Basically if u equip jordan he cn do free throw line dunk more frequently

I run hof but gold is def good enough let you get off driving dunks more frequently

They really cappin bro, Ian listening to no meta build player. I built mine like a functional hood ball player. With my 6’11 once I get him all the way right and get masher on silver I doubt I’ll ever miss

@@MajinFoo803 mines 7 foot with 65 speed with ball and gold quick first step. They cannot stop me on the drive, usually ends up a contact or an easy euro lay. I also got that 3 ball.
