The rating system in NBA 2K24 makes no sense. There are so many players who are overrated and underrated. The ratings for players are inaccurate.

Great topic for discussion here. This is one of the main reasons I don’t play PlayNow anymore, along with 80% of releases being unusable in combination with the lack of badges that make sense for a player, especially role players. I used to be really into revamping rosters back in the day for Myleague online and I really wish 2k cared more about this aspect of the game because it makes a massive difference

@@corruptedmind I’d argue that they are, and imo when releases are dirt slow, the skill ceiling is lower because of off ball defense. I’m not saying every player in the league should have a release on very quick or even quick, the vast majority of 2k roster players releases are on normal and are disgusting to watch and wayyyy too easy to bait, and most importantly don’t line up with the speed they get there shot off irl.

I'm probably one of your older viewers, I stopped playing 2K years ago and I still watch you. You need to understand that you have a gift, you can speak to the camera almost unedited and keep people entertained. You got a lot to say and you love basketball and so is your audience. Make sure you do stuff you love, it shows. Keep it going and I wish you'll get out of the toxic 2K cycle, I used to be addicted to it and it sucks.

And some players in game play better and worse than their ratings. Like Og annunoby plays way better than amen thomson in an actual game. But amens rating is so high probably based off of his physical ability, defense, and ratings like intangibles and potential.

@777DonMakaveli777 did you not see the quotations there, it was a statement LEBRON made himself in a podcast interview not too long ago, when he talked about the Jamal game winner over davis. The wolves clamped mpj up, they did what they were supposed too. But the hate and saying he is ass is egregious, he is truly one of the best catch and shoot/ 3&D guys in the league lmao. Yeah he had a bad series but that doesn't mean he isn't good or he can't shoot.

Ty i disagree with these takes. Im not sure how much NBA you watch but to me the ratings are very accurate. The overall of a player is based on height, position, badges, and attributes. Not just the ratings. And some of your takes are kinda crazy. Like saying bridges is way better than cam thomas is insane. Bridges is a role player and a 3rd or 4th option on a good team at best. He did have that stretch where he was playing like a star but that was a fluke. This season showed he is not a start player and is a 3 and D player who was put in a stars role.
