I think Sarr is the most viable pick because he can anchor the defense, cover Trae as well as Trae helping him along offensively with lobs and add immediate value if he starts out at the 4, they move JJ to the 3 and start O at the 5. You have good rim protection, very good upside and growth potential and if the Hawks could pry Herb from the Pelicans or keep DJ they would be instantly better and a 4 or 5 in the East

The hawks should pick Zac . 6 ft 9 that shoots and defend and has shown huge improvements in just 1 year. I think his weaknesses of passing and creation is overblown If you watch his game, he certainly does create and passes at an elite level. The issue is he doesnt do it too often. This could be a coach thing since he plays on a professional team that is focused on winning and hence players strength.

I do think his passing and creation is overblown as a weakness, but saying he’s elite at those aspects is an overstatement. He’s an okay creator for a forward with potential to grow, but by no means is he elite at those aspects.

Sarr will be the pick but he's easily the worst offensive player to ever go 1. I do think Clingan is the best defender at the rim & Sarr is the better switch defender. Consider this....2 draft expert one said Sarr would've gone 5 last year and another said 7.

Shades of Mo Bamba. Go look up Bamba scouting report. Big that's know for defense but isn't strong or has a high motor and has an.average offensive game is not worth a top5 pick😊

Brad, do you have any insight to AJ's future with the team? It seems he got in the doghouse and never got out. I would like to see him traded if they aren't trying to develop him

Think we’ll learn more about that in the next 4-5 weeks. I believe in the talent. Might need a change of scenery but TBD

The Hawks have taken so many wings that didn’t pan out. I’d take Sarr just to ensure we could do something on defense and just count on the coaches to develop his offense.
