I got to shoot a half court shot at a Cavs versus Jazz game in Ohio in 1985. The prize was a 1985 Chrysler LeBaron if I made it and if I didn't, I got 30 free medium pizza coupons from Little Caesars. All I'll say is my family and friends ate a lot of pizza that next couple months.
I'm glad you ate a lot of pizza,( we all like pizza) but not sure why you felt the need to mention that, but I think we are all wondering if you won the car?
@@kodiak138 even though I was a pretty good high school basketball player at the time. I air balled it badly and actually got booed walking back to my seat. Lol
I'm so skeptical of stuff like this too. Like on gameshows and stuff when they give away a car. The contestant still has to pay sales and income tax on the car (receiving it is considered income, because it's too large to be considered a gift.). You don't even get the actual car, they just arrange for you to pick up the same type of car or a car of similar value from a dealership near you. A lot of people get it, and then sell it right away to keep the cash and/or buy something cheaper and pocket the difference. I think sometimes there's a cashout option as well that's worth a fraction of the vehicle. But if you can't afford the taxes on it, or the monthly insurance, it's a viable option.
