love the videos guys. Question, after first rounds picks in general, is it best to focus on adding to their strengths in rounds 2 and 3 or focus on picking up players that hit categories that the Round 1 player does't do well in?. i.e. Anthony Davis and then Booker and say VanVleet to pick up 3's and assists (that AD doesn't really do). Or go like AD into Holmgren and Towns and really double down? I'm never sure and never finish high up in the mock draft rankings.
Hey DM. Cheers for the Q. We’ll answer that in a video slated for next week called “How to Build”. But in short, you want to consolidate strengths early but also be sure to get points guys who contribute in other cats too. For example, if you take Holmgren in Rd 2 after AD you would absolutely look to grab an elite scorer and shooter having just sourced blks/rebs/fg%. You can punt. But be competitive. If you lean too heavy to getting similar guys (AD, Chet, KAT in your example) you are PF/C heavy early and that can hurt you later as you scramble for scarer categories like assists and steals.
