Yeah back when you payed once for a game and it was super fun to play for hours,, this generation of kids is fkn doomed to be shiested out of their money just to remember getting duped and not remembering fun
Hell ya, same!! I’m 36 and I still play it just to get that nostalgia back now haha. Those days were the greatest, did yall have the Sega Channel too??? That shit was the fucking BOMB!!! Made my childhood so dope
The producers of these still live to make it games. It’s the business suits that run the companies that just want to see a profit is where the problem lies.
I always thought it was an urban legend that you could break the backboard...looks like I'm busting out the cartridge and trying break some backboards this weekend.
came here bc of an American dad episode. Steve's new bowling coach said boom shakalaka and i couldn't remember what video game used to say it all the time so I came to RU-vid and typed in boom shakalaka and here I am. lol isn't it crazy how back in the day these super simple games could still be played for hrs with maximum enjoyment . i loved this game growing up and it's just a simple 2 on 2 hyper paced shit show basketball abortion and you'd just get addicted to playing it kindve like NFL blitz.
I used to play as Patrick Ewing all the time, and get told he couldn't shit outside the paint. Then I'd start draining threes. There was one spot where he did not miss. I just ran there and bombs away!
if you are down by a lot the game cheats in that it lets you make 3's way easier or the computer will start draining threes and you miss everything. notice how new york kept missing easy 2 pointers and the computer made almost all its threes.
@fehler91: The Genesis version is extremely common and it can be found pretty much anywhere. If you look on eBay you're bound to find hundreds of copies of it.
@nightwishpower as good as i know, there are liiiiittle differences to the original, the color of the field doesnt change from team to team, at original game it does, and cpu is little more harder on emulator
@Rsd79 nba jam tournament edition has other muzic and the teams are different, you can choose between a few players in a team, so not only charles barkley and kevin johnson are at the pheonix suns, there are way more other players for the suns, know what i mean?
Imma be like 120 years old, and imma still have some kind of PC emulator, SNES/Sega Genesis/Download from the Playstation 50 online store talking bout "He's on FIre." Swear
@Rsd79 its the original nba jam, i tried out the tournament edition and i have to say i dont really like it, its...not so fun playing it ya know, maybe its just me...
@GoldenSuperJP i think its how you begin to play with consoles, i began with super nintendo, so i liked it so much, hang time wasnt bad at all, but didnt really convince me and i even hadnt an nintendo 64...but sure, hang time is really good, i like it
Despite the SNES being more-powerful, they really blew it with NBA Jam. Genesis-version was far-superior. I owned the SNES but I have to give credit where it is due.
@player0killing0ftwin i know what you mean, when i was a kid, i played that evryday and evryday i thought, "please god, let me be like them, let me jump as high like them, i want to break a backboard too!" :D
@acoon24 yeah i know, but i hardly tried the whole time, but it didnt want how i want to..., its on emulator, and i donno why, but its weird, games on emulator are more difficult than games on original console...i really donno why it is like that, but it is like that, honestly i dont really like it...
@edballer138 the reason is because this is on snes emulator and not on original super nintendo, on emulators games arent so good like on original super nintendo, they are way harder and more gaytastic, know what i`m sayin? i tried so often to dunk but he didnt do ANYTHING, so its not my fault, i play this game over 10 years, i dont say that i am a pro, but i am very good in this game, believe me :D
you couldnt have done it better than me that time, i honestly tried to freaking dunk in the ball, but the game wouldnt let me and i still dont know why, if i play on real snes, i can dunk every time i want to, but on the emulator this isnt possible somehow...i seriously did my best to dunk in that ball but i really couldnt...that sucked, i know
@ElectricTear20 oh really? wow i didnt think its possible to break the backboard in the 3rd quarter...i`ve never been able to do that...i`ll try out soon, maybe i can do it too :D
This was the #1 game of the 90s I remember haveing the game for super nintendo and all thos guys that are saying this game is gay u haven't even played it so don't talk shit about the game cuz #1 u don't own an old school system and #2 I'm pretty sure last time I checked some of u are just into what u think so just keep ur mouths shut and keep it to yourself
