...another thing that really was a dope mechanic was the offensive push while havin the ball. TRICK: For a 100% 3pt shot, try pushin your partner into the audience after he gave you the throw-in pass. Then immediatel, pass him the ball (he should be in the audience behind your basketboard).. force him to shoot and see that huge whole court throw go in with satisfaction 😊. This also work while playin offense, if you or your teammate got pushed into the audience. Another banger was gettin offense AND defense fire together... you will get "unstoppable" and can dunk from ANY postition! This was the best thing ever!!! But itz hard to get defense fire (ususally only possible if you pick the tallest players and block 3 times, without the other team getting a point)... Imo, Mastering that offensive ball handling push while havin the ball really makes that game a loooot easier to win 🫠✌️ Peace
Big head mode in this is amazing. The heads are so much bigger than most big head modes. Hilarious. Then if you get knocked into the stands its an automatic 3. Love that.
Man, i played and discovered the hell outta this game as a youngsta... all the hidden game stuff and play moves. Really had a lotta fun with it. ..The worst thing about this game (on psx) are the "extreme" loading times 😅... Still have my copy and i think itz not as bad as people tell it is... it surely is a lil strange but i love itz own flava (sounds, moves, dunks..)
At least it is different. After all these years I played NBA Hangtime and I was even more disappointed. It is too similar to the original NBA Jam. A quick way to cash in. Jam Extreme at least tried something else ;)
@@Retroconsole well said 🙂... i just like the atmosphere and over the top-ness of it...and also the sounds and commentary. Itz soo 90s and i love it for that 😍👍... i also have hangtime for the N64, itz aiight and i also like it, but it doesnt have the charme as extreme, and hangtime is an asshole of a game when itz about having a fair game, haha... the CPU always getz this win bonus at the end if you are a little in the lead. 🙄
I remember my version on sega Saturn my ball was always a slice of watermelon, and never knew why that happened.. I've only got a normal basketball a handful of times..
I hate 3D gaming they always bore me after you finished the games its really nothing else to do the replay just isn't there at all retro games always had replay ability at the highest
@@theamazingspiderman4911 True! NBA Jam series slit into two different series in 1996, with original creators losing rights. So we got NBA Hangtime from Midway and NBA Jam Extreme from Acclaim. I would call it semi-sequel :)
@@Retroconsole NBA Showtime was also Midway, and their first 3D basketball game. Much better than the talent-less Acclaim. I bet NBA JAM Extreme would work better with a fixed camera mod that only scrolled side to side, especially on PC.
