Shawn Kemp was one of my favorite players growing up in the 90s! I still have his Seattle Supersonics reversible jersey, and his VHS the Reignman, and the Dream Team 2 VHS, and NBA Superstars 3, where Shawn Kemp was in their highlights! God bless you dear Shawn and Sean! You guys rock!

I loved Shawn and Gary. It crushed me when they traded Kemp. He loved it here, grew up here really, and I think his downfall was being traded. I really believe he missed the Sonics to the point where it wrecked him. The man still lives here in Seattle. For no other reason than he loves it here. ❤

I used to wake up at 3 a.m. here in Europe just to watch his games. Slept 1/2 an hour, then to high school. My favorite player together with M.J. Thanks for all the alley oops, hang times, posters … Cant remember one Top 10 on NBA Action where Shawn Kemp was not in it. He posterized so many exceptional players directly in their faces.

Kemp was an all-around player with flare. He had no weaknesses and played on a winning team. He should be in the HOF period. WHo cares about his off-the-court issues. The man was a beast on the court and now is living a clean life.

I’ve dunked on guys, been dunked on but I’ve never seen a guy Dap the guy who dunked on him ! Yo that’s Bananas. I’m 63 and I’ve seen everyone from Wilt , Hawk, Elgin, Doc , Kenon, Hillman , so many guys who would dunk on their mommas 😂. But I never saw a guy like Rain Man. Case closed Perry Mason 😎

When you think 90's basketball you almost automatically think of and include Shawn Kemp highlights in your head. Would highly recommend checking him out on what is known as Dream Team 2 the world Championship team. He is playing with this extra chip on his shoulder and he just does things athletically and with ferocity at times where its like whoa, this guy is next level at times.

Other than Jordan, Miller, and Rodman, Shawn Kemp was full of dominance and electrcity on the court! I remember he won a slam dunk contest back in the day! I forgot what year it was. I had his jersey to wear. The very last time I saw him play he was traded to Cleveland and I haven't seen him play since. But at the time I never knew he also played for Portland and Orlando. He was a pure monster on the court! Salute to SK!!

Kemp was one of my favorite players in the 90s. Def one of the best in game dunkers ever. Had swag before swag was swag. At his peak he was doing things every night that would make people and the crowd go nuts. 🏆

Born in the 1980 we were very blessed to have watched players from late 80s till now.

Rockets fan here and there was no team in the NBA I looked more forward to playing against than the Sonics in the early-mid 90's. They were our toughest matchup and to this day, they're the most exciting team I've ever watched. The games between the Rockets and Sonics between '93 and '95 were epic. Just an absolute beast of a player and team and it's too bad they underachieved in the playoffs during that period.

90's NBA basketball 🏀 was great - good times.

67 points in a high school basketball game, played D one small school but late in his eligibility and had so many responsibilities because of several large families. A really good dude, but a player for life.

He should be in the HOF...if Yao Ming gets in, he should. Kemp scored double the amount of points (yes, he did play longer), and had a similar average on rebounds and assists. 🏀🇬🇧

Was thinking of him while watching this because I was realizing that I never watched Kemp much & probably underrate him due to living in MA, being a Celtic fan, & Seattle not on being on TV that much. ... That I can remember at least. Anyhow, Dino had a couple good years on a bad team, but hey, could still be a fun video. ... Something new (🤔,I think?), & would be interesting at the very least. ... Fairly sure he had something in his contract regulating how many cigarettes he was allowed to smoke 😂🤣😂🤣😂. ... Definitely not a usual thing for a professional athlete. Just a thought. The weight and his off court problems is what cost him his career. If not he'd be one of the most highly talked about athletes ever. He had the total package, scoring, rebounding, block shots, not to mention how he put the fear of God in opponents. Was very sorry to see his career cut short like that considering he was still relatively young.

I feel like I imagined an interview from kemp about that reverse at 4:30, he spoke of a call he wasn’t happy about and that dunk was his anger and frustration I always think someone will include it in these player focus clips but they never do so I’m thinking now I imagined it

Kemp was my favorite player in the 90s but KG over exaggerated his vertical. He was 6'10 an his head wasn't to the rim. Players like VC, Zion, bron, Ja an some others head be at or higher then the rim. That's vertical. Now his timing was impeccable. Thats what it was. He knew when to jump to dunk on ppl or go up to catch an oop.

I don’t remember Kemp as dunker. I remembered him as a superstar player.

When people say that Giannis is some sort of unprecedented huge athletic freak, I remind them that Shawn Kemp was doing all that and more 30 years ago. Plus he had a better jumper than Giannis and didn't have to lower his shoulder into people or travel all the time.
