@23:44 you’ll never get that crowd, bench, and overall excitement on 2K after a block. That felt so real and then Klay tops it off with a fastbreak jumper... 🔥🔥🔥
I agree, this sounds like more of an NBA game. Maybe its cause of the NBA on ABC theme. Animations still needs work. I wish Mike Breen was calling the games though
DAMN. imagine a game like this with live's presentation, 2k's Gameplay and physics, With Different commentators for all nba teams for example Mike Breen including his "Bang!" call when players make a 3 point shot.
Live actually made the details on point. I can even hear small conversations between players on the court. And look at Rozier being pulled by opponent's bench 30:16 . Good environment interacts also.
This game could literally be perfect if the players didnt look so bad, and the commentating was like 2k’s. The crowd is amazing, the arena, sheesh this game has potential.
There are some things that 2k has that i prefer over live. Like on replays, commentators are still giving you info about the play or players. In fact the commentators have more of a free flowing feel to their conversation. However, I have always loved the fact that live's playersare and feel bigger. Someone stated that live and 2k should work together, Isaid that about 15 years ago. Yeah I'm a 56 year old gamer🤣. My grandkids think I'm cool tho' i love it.
That was a blast to watch! Funny thing is that NBA Live has so many parallels to EA Sports FIFA's nemesis, Pro Evo... lovely camera work, better gameplay and no "skating", but underwhelming commentary. I guess EA finally know how it feels to be Konami.
The players in nba live really looks like they are actually running unlike in 2k19 where players looks like they are sliding or skating on the court while running.
@@cascino555 I think 2k14 to 15 was the closest to realistic running but the rest just look like they are sliding on the floor or am I just seeing it wrong lol
TheMRINOMAN I agree. I would like to see them make one game together to see how it would come out. Live has better more realistic quality. 2k has better more realistic shooting and play. I love the features better in live. Would like to see how 2k and live would work together for one game. That would be bad ass
I can't lie I love the way the players run in Live 19, that aspect is better than 2K to me. They don't run like robots anymore like last year. The pace at which players run and play on the court in live 19 is lovely. But there is definitely much room for improvement. But I will say that the Real Player Motion™ makes the gameplay smooth!
The last time I played basketball on a computer was Street Sports Basketball (Commodore 64) back in the mid eighties. I don't know anything about basketball. Been keen on getting into sports again tho and just grabbed a PS4 so may get some decent sports titles.
Just wish 2k could get the arenas sound like this.shit would be super immersive🔥live got the whole ambiance down pact just need to work on better animations
That sounds awesome thank you so much for the support! Feel free to check out my latest videos with the latest patch! They're mostly CPU SIM's following the most intriguing games of the night! Later today I'll have Celtics vs Hawks and Hornets vs Thunder which ended insane I was playing as Thunder! Again thank you so much!
it looks real omg i love nba live..My first time playing this on a pc was the nba live 2001 up to the nba live 2004 then I've tried playing the 2k5 up to 2k23

The intro is sooo guud I feel like I'm watching an actual NBA game the scoreboard is the same as watching NBA too 2K doesn't have that they change the intro and they make their own intro
Why doesn’t the P.A. Aka the announcer in the arena say anything...2k is way better than live cause the net changes position and the lighting in 2k19 is like the whole arena now..they must of updated this game. Hope to see some more updates Peace
Playing 2K and LIVE for many years, here are my feelings: First of all, before 2K9, it was an indisputable fact that the LIVE series topped the list. At that time, 2K was just like today's LIVE, with both sales volume and feedback being mediocre. 2K really rose in 2009, when 2K9 was born out of the blue, which shocked me who had accepted EA basketball games since LIVE04. Players like me were amazed by the reflective ground, wonderful commentary, pre-game, halftime and post-game shows, exquisite sweat beads, real star movements and so on. You can imagine how much 2K paid to turn over that year. Since then, 2K has become a synonym for basketball games. Whether it is PS, Xbox or PC, 2K has a good performance and feedback. I've also been playing LIVE and 2K for a few years now, and I'd like to talk about their strengths and weaknesses (just talking about the in-game experience, not the game mode and expansion) : Advantages of 2K: smooth motion, high frame number, less lag. Dynamic motion is real and does not deform. Star's signature moves are highly real. Cons: many of the actions are designed without real-time computations of confrontation. Losing ball, rushing shots, grabbing, fouling and so on are all dead animation, and players can get tired of playing too much. Moreover, there have been few great innovations in recent years, due to its domination. Advantages of LIVE: the game is more like a real live broadcast, mainly because of its cooperation with ESPN, together with ESPN scoreboard, statistics board, and other TV broadcast materials. Static character modeling details are real (only static ones). Disadvantages: dynamic action often deformed (such as in this video, while Coach Stevens is coaching, the proportion of the shoulders and head obvious imbalance, such as Kyrie free throws, lens above the basket show his strange face, etc., such as Kevin Durant off-court applause with facial distortions), character modeling is not reasonable (such as the obvious big head with narrow body), dynamic stiffness, the ball-basket rate is not good (small ball with big basket, and Kevin Durant jump shot up as tall as the basket). Shooting postures, dribbling and other details of the stars are not in place, such as the minor difference between the shooting moves of Kyrie and Curry which are top stars in the league. Another thing is stepping on the butter, this is the basketball game taboo, because basketball is very demanding about feet movement, in the real game there would be a travelling because of these moves. This also happens in 2K, but it's better than LIVE. Overall, 2K wins in details, completion, and the game fluency. And LIVE's advantages are broadcast media presentation and real-time movements and confrontation. Your discussions are welcome.
Great insight, I will add that this video reflects the demo and the current version of the game has better gameplay and higher resolution including sweat which wasn't really present in this demo version yet, A.I. is also more smart attacking with whoever is hot and getting results, the models look better but shoulder issues still remain. Also this video doesnt represent the real 60 frames per second that you feel when playing NBA LIVE 19 at home. To speak on 2K it captures most aspects of real basketball great except those unbelievable superstar like plays. For example Russell Westbrook slashing and dunking on 3 defenders after a fast inbound. NBA LIVE 19 captures these opportunites to make big plays more realistically whereas in 2K its harder to cut around defenders without being picked up almost everytime. In LIVE you see the windows and the dribbling allows you to find that tiny bit of space to get through and bust open the game. Also the unrealistic b-ball that unfolds when trying higher difficulties. I often feel like the CPU is un-simmed overpowered. I usually like to do top difficulties but Pro actually feels the most like realistic authentic basketball. I don't like how slow they make some of the bigs move. On defense it seems like they have more boosts to play good defense and when I do the same things it isn't realistically as effective. They always pick me up when I have the ball but when they have it they're able to get through much more easily. I love playing defense on LIVE it feels almost as fun as offense sometimes. I also prefer the speed of LIVE better especially on fastbreaks. The progression and microtransactions systems is obviously a big negative to 2k but I'm trying to focus solely on gameplay. I love almost everything about LIVE but something they can do better is keeping the game up to date. Even though I could modify starters and roster I shouldn't have to. Game should be in sync with current season day to day when it comes to starters and minutes, sometimes it takes days for players to be moved to their new teams
at da end of the day both franchises get lazy once they feel there gonna sale millions off the title itself. i remember when 2k was 20 $ lol. Ea got lazy with their plug in animations. same with 2k now their getn lazy. its taken ea years to get it back right. 2k is like the western conference and ea is the eastern conference of the nba. itz a flip flop
Maaaaan...this shit doesn't change no matter how much money they put into it...the reputation still stands for both franchises. NBA Live was and still is known for it's realism...players defend better off and on the ball. Its a more physical game NBA Live has always had the reputation of being a basketball players game due to it playing just like a real game never being easy to score. NBA 2K has always been an everyone can play whether you like basketball or not...everyone can figure out how to score with just about any player as long as you know a few sequences of dribbling moves they can pull off. The realism came from crowd appearance, player reactions and some of their on court animations while scoring or afterward. Defense has never been a priority in NBA 2K. And ratings seem fan driven instead of talent based.😎
Well nba live 19 is improve right now. but the only missing is the commentary on the gameplay , 2k19 is way better on the commentary gameplay but the graphics is the same from the 2k15 while the live is improve overall details like grapghics and real motion of the player , so they need to improve the way on commentary each game on the nba live 19
Can someone PLEASE explain why the controls to get control of defense players feels more like mashing buttons while playing a fighting game for the first time? Bad enough landing a shot is almost like winning the lottery. ...is there some guide/helpful hints I’m missing, or is this part of why it’s on $3? BTW-Nintendo switch controls-MUCH simpler-tho still convoluted.
Play now, Franchise Mode, Ultimate Team mode, if your playing the demo you have to complete The Rise and you are able to then play with Warriors and Celtics
Do u wear headphones? Theres a chance the system was trying to pick up audio from the small mic on ur headphones and recorded white noise. Press the share button, go to sharing and broadcast settings, then click on audio sharing settings, uncheck all 3 options! Do NOT include microphone audio, then test it to see if it works by recording another clip. For some reason headphone mics dont work with ps4, thats my best guess
i think these games need more realistic crowds. Your team could be 0-20 and the arena still filled like it's the playoffs lol. They should have empty seats in the stands
In my opinion it is I currently have both 2k19 and Live 19, the one in NBA LIVE 19 is really good and fair when it comes to upgrading your players gear and rating, ultimate team is fun to pick up and play and on the hardest difficulty the games can get very competitive and unpredictable, most teams play like their real life counterparts
