Same, 2003 was the year I started watching NBA, playing basketball at the park, and playing this masterpiece :) we were blessed to have lived through the 2000s era, and witnessed all those amazing players!
This game, 2k9 and 2k20 were my favorite NBA games all time. Yo the fact that Shaq was a 96 in this game but couldn’t shoot more than 5 ft from the basket meant his stats were outrageous. And anyone that was a 95 was basically God in this game. T Mac, Kobe and Pierce were like THE best players to pick in the game. Aint gonna lie some of the rating were a bit off, but I was a Celtics fan and loved the fact that Pierce could dunk like VC in it 😂 And Yeah they did AI dirty and Malone was just wtf lol Side note Rashad Lewis was a hidden gem in this game, wasn’t ranked the highest but had dope stats in the most important ones, Speed, dunk, 2&3 ball, defense. Dude was a killer lol
Lowkey corey maggette eddy curry Tyson chandler were chest codes too. Ricky Davis was a beast too. You took me back on your post gang. These games back then the star players were rated to high and the role players/ good players were like 65-76. Now the ratings a lil more fair to nba players in current games. In nba live Tobias Harris would be a 74 at best in nba live 2003 and in nba 2k24 he’s a 81. These game’s definitely laid the foundation and are still playable and not overpowered.
Yep, Andrei Kirilenko too (my fav player growing up) I would get like over 5 blocks per game and 3 SPG with him plus like 5-7 APG, 10-11 RPG and 20-22 PPG!
I’m suprised of how accurate Thais is because I’m 2002 3 Paul pierce t Mac and Kobe and kg Tim Duncan we’re the ones putting up numbers . And the dunk movement looks better on this then the new ones .
2 things I absolutely hated about this game: 1) the audio of dunks was totally unrealistic 2) the lack of net physics on everything Looking back, there are older games that did these things so much better. Some examples being NBA In The Zone 99 and NBA Live 98, both did dunk sounds and net physics better and they released 4-5 years earlier. Live 05 improved on this massively.
@@Live01Legends LeBron didn’t come out in NBA live 2003 he was a senior in HS LeBron was a 69 overall in NBA Live 2004 which was his debut in the video games
@@philchickenfingers1190 nah I think he should’ve been a 99, Kobe was the man at this time, and he was basically God in this game along with T Mac and Pierce.
This was when Pierce was towards his prime and was a straight killer, but his teams were always a joke. I’ll say his dunk his a bit over rated in this game, but nothing else dude was a straight killer in his time.
