That game Patrick Beverley played against Isaiah Thomas, the Celtics LOST that game, and Isaiah had 6 turnovers. Also it was in 2016, Beverley's 4th year in the league, and they were talking about his ROOKIE season games. This video is garbage for it...
- Pat Bev is the definition of delusional....but he's just playing the part. He knows better, and I can respect that (dawg mentality). Props to him making a name for himself. The man had to go overseas, get reps, crush it, and then finally got the call to come into the NBA.
@@SanctumROTMG no you wrong. He actually measured 5'10.25 in shoes his ROOKIE YEAR so maybe he even grew a lil who knows. Measured 5'8.75 without shoes. You can call him 5'9-5'10 he ain’t no 5'8
Patrick Ewing a hall of famer, great college center has numerous players give him that work. Patrick Beverly a slightly above average defensive minded player can't admit that he's been chewed up like a dog toy on national TV PLENTY of times....insane.
Yep. It's not even just ewing. Literally everyone who does this show - most of whom are better players than Pat Bev answer this question. No idea why he wouldn't. Just dumb.
@@tedmich True - but so many guys that were way better players/defenders than Pat Bev - Like Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Shawn Marion, Kobe, Iman Shumpert, Joakim Noah, Trevor Ariza ALL answered this question honestly. Every player in the NBA gets cooked at least once, no matter how good a defender you are. So for him to not admit that he has when literally EVERYONE else does, is just absurd.
I know this comment is from two years ago but that clip just came up for me on my feed today. Anytime i see it or a hard screens comp its on it and im watching.
Kevin Garnett really was a monster. I don't think I've ever respected another player not on my team. So much so that even though I'm a New Yorker I'm happy he won a ring with Boston.
Lmfao the video uploader was like "Don't worry Pat, we'll help you out if you're having trouble remembering someone. Here's some clips of prime I.T bussin Pat's ass." 😂💀
😂😂😂 funny thing Isaiah now on 10 day contracts. but thats funny Beverly not wanting to say anything cus he’s mostly known for his defense and not offense.
These clips are great! I especially love when people talk about their first time playing Larry Legend. It’s always guys laughing about him dropping 40 or more 😂
Larry was cooking some of the most athletic, young 3s and 4s the league has ever seen - Kemp, he used to roast prime Rodman, Michael Cooper - and this was bad-back Larry when he lost a lot of his mobility. Boggles my mind how some people think he wouldn’t translate to today’s game. Also, I think Pat’s first matchup with Moses was at the Garden if I remember correctly.
@@teezee1000 And most of the plays Kemp wasn't guarding him, but still, Bird looks a lot like a KG or Dirk in the sense of "you can guard me, but i'll still make the shot".
I really wanna take all the kids nowadays and have them all go back in time and watch KG play on the Timberwolves. NOBODY was talking about that team. Even when he was on it. They only talked about KG. The man lived and breathed basketball. Just imagine Draymond Green with more muscle, talent, and trash talking. He would make Draymond cry if they were playing in the same era 🤣
Watching all these highlights and you can easily see KG being the most dominant out of all the players just from his movement. T-Wolves KG was special.
There’s something so beautiful about a player that can score at will… it’s like every possession has a 100 possible choices to get a bucket and special players make the right choices every time.
Wait is that Darius Miles. Man I remember that dude. I wish they kept that Clippers team together, they were young and super talented. Darius Miles, Quinton Richardson, Michael Olowokandi, Lamar Odom, and Corey Maggette
Thank you. EVERYONE answers that question. The NBA is the top league in the world, so obviously, no matter WHO you are, you're gonna get cooked sometimes. Nick Van Exel on this pod said it best "Everyone's head gets cracked" which couldn't be more true. I love that whoever made this edit played the clips of IT straight up roasting Pat Bev.
You gotta be confident! Everyone gets schooled at some point, I love that pat bev just pretends he's never been destroyed by anyone. It didn't happen!😂😂
I like how you answered PatBev's question for him. I also appreciate PatBev's mindset of not taking no for an answer. I bet once he retires he'll loosen up and give you a more honest answer. Right now he is still in that mindset, similar to how you here PJ Tucker talk about, tricking yourself to stay engaged, even tho you are getting busted up by the opponent but still give your effort to make it hard on them.
