Yeah but the finals wasn’t as good as 2013 in my opinion. If the 2013 finals was the 2014 finals, the whole Playoffs itself would be the best one in the ‘10 era
@@celtics.jonathan8999 yeah sorry, kawhi was on a mission in 2014. and spurs showed the warriors how championships are won. because kerr literally just used that spurs offense
@@hadiaskari1044 huh? They had a 67-15 winning team in 2016 that was overlooked. 2017 they were legit contenders won the first two rounds then went to WCF
@@griffinpeters38 yes, even ranked 9th in west is dallas with a 49-33 record, and that's still better than the raptors at number 3 in east, with only 48-34
The 2014 NBA playoffs are best remembered for the entire 1st round, one of the most exciting 1st rounds in NBA playoff history. :-) 5 of the 8 opening round series went to a 7th & deciding game. Of note, it was the 1st playoff appearance for the Kyle Lowry-led Toronto Raptors( as well as the 1st playoff appearance for the Raptors under the Masai Ujiri regime ). They lost a gut-wrenching Game 7 at home vs the Brooklyn Nets but it was pretty clear that the Raptors were a team on the rise. And the San Antonio Spurs win their 5th NBA championship in 5 games over the Miami Heat, led in large by the Finals MVP, a fella only in his 3rd year in the league, a 'youngster' by the name of one Kawhi Anthony Leonard. Hmm....interesting connection perhaps. An up-and-coming Raptors team serving notice that they were finally ready to compete annually for playoff success, while a young Kawhi Leonard helping lead the Spurs to yet another NBA title. Somehow, someway, the paths between the Raptors and Kawhi Leonard would cross one another a few years down the road..... ;-)
@@martymcflyguy6599 OKC vs Indiana would've been awesome. But to be fair, it was great to watch San Antonio play pretty much perfect basketball against the Heat.
Malechi Shelton Kawhi literally shot 61% in the finals which is the highest shooting percentage for a FMVP in NBA history, yet some how it wasn’t his season.
That was not Kawhis year. He had a great playoffs/finals for sure, but he hadn’t quite broken out into the great player he would become in a few seasons. That was KD’s year 100%. Melo, LeBron, PG, K Love, and Griffin had great years as well, but that season was KD’s.
I'm a wizards fan and this year was our breakout year. no one predicted us to beat the bulls and we win in 5. I only wish that atlanta beat indiana so we'd play the hawks in the second round instead of the pacers. We easily would've made the ECF that way. too bad we lost. Hopefully we'll come back strong next year with wall healthy again.
Man, I wanted the Pacers to make it that year. That team was specifically constructed to take down the Lebron Heat until they lost interest in playing basketball three quarters into the season.
Spurs Kawhi was a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad man. Now you see what happens when you choose the easy way and getting whatever you want skipping practices, being late, doing whatever u want basically. Vs when he was on the spurs and grinded every single day season after season he was an absolute monster, I thought he was the next MJ after that spurs grizzlies series, really has let me down after he left the spurs and still wasn't the same player even in Toronto.
Bro the NBA should go back to having the home color crowd with all the fans wearing their team color only. Example, the Warriors with yellow, the Suns with orange and purple, the Celtics with green, the Nets with black (that would be my personal favorite), the Mavs with Blue, the Raptors with red and black, the Nuggets with dark blue and yellow, etc. The Heat already do that with the all white crowd, which is the only reason I like them. Not saying that the all color fans are not bad, they're still loud, but the team color fans add that *REAL* playoff feel to it, intimidates the road team. Makes the games much more exciting
It’s crazy to think the Warriors losing in the 1st Round in 2014 to a team that can’t get out of the 2nd Round, and in 2015 (first year with Kerr) they have a red hot regular season, Curry wins his first MVP and blaze through everyone including LeBron to win the title
The Spurs avenged their disappointing Game 7 loss vs the Heat the previous year. 2014 Finals were a complete reversal of fortune, with the Spurs flatout dominating the Heat over the final 3 games. The Spurs simply weren't going to be denied the 2nd time around.
Am I the only one who thinks these songs would be much better with beats made around the NBA soundclips??? "BAAAAAAAAANG" playing in the background behind a beat or "BANKS IT IN"
notice how the pacers play so many games, go toe to toe with the lebron/wade/bosh heat, but you just never see highlights in this? dont worry, lebrons bounce pass to a cherry picking wade is top tier
