Refs should be allowed to correct a call on the fly if they realize they made a mistake the problem is it’s looked down upon”late calls” “you can’t change the call” Ik this has changed a bit now. But this way of thinking is why refs be making dumbass moves they scared to be wrong when they should be attempting to be as correct as possible

Watching the NBA and NFL becomes a lot easier when you understand these leagues are scripted in the playoffs. This has been proven multiple times. In the past 5 years, multiple retired NFL players have come forward saying this. Maybe kept it generic saying "The outcome of the game is not determined on the field." Retired referees have comes forward saying game would be rigged, even in the sense of an individual referee having an individual bet. You can no longer watch the NFL and NBA with the expectation that your team will win based on their talent. These leagues are only for entertainment. The NFL itself has proven that when a couple of fans sued the league for rigging a game they attended. All the NFL said was "We do not guarantee fair play. We only guarantee entertainment" and the case was thrown out. The WWE has proven that storylines boosts ratings, which in turn boosts profits. The NBA and NFL have adopted this business model.

The Lakers lost that game in OT...Win the game in OT and the missed call doesn't cost you the game. Tired of people blaming the refs as bad as they can be for an entire game. Did the refs cause LeBron and the Lakers to miss in OT? No. Make your shots in OT and it doesn't matter. And it's kind of fitting to me that the Lakers who have notoriously been favored by the refs time and time again were the ones that got screwed this time. Now you know how it feels when other teams play you and you are allowed to get away with whatever you want on the court. Sucks doesn't it?
