Guys, I have to say my first NBA Street game was the first one, and in my opinion was the best. One thing I like about the first one was that the tricks were optional, meaning you could choose individual tricks to do, using the 4 boost buttons.. Another thing is that there isn't that female voice or anything calling out the tricks and stuff. Picking up from the tricks, I like choosing the type of dunk I wanted, I miss the "dinners served" dunk. Also I want to break the glass again:(
This game, it was like they took everything that was good and fun about the first three NBA Street games and threw it away. My favorite would have to be V3 with Vol 2 coming in a close second. The best thing they could go would be to make one that was made of bits of the first three with a few new things and an updated roster.
Wouldn't mind Homecourt 2. They just need to make a better create-a-player mode. Better story mode like Def jam Series.More old-school music. Add MJ and other legends again. That would be a good sequel if EA wants to make another.I also wouldn't mind NBA Street v4.
I don't blame you. I think Icon was good for the 360 because of the custom soundtracks, but it wasnt better than the first two. I just think that that game wanted to be something different. DLC still would have been nice. The custom soundtracks were the only thing that made me come back to play it again. Fighting mechanics could have been improved to be fast and more effective.
I'd much rather see this on NBA 2K14+ like integrated into the game with a nice set of features for blacktop type NBA street style gameplay with features and addons, including even street dunk contests, etc. It would be epic in my eyes lol.
I agree that it did play like fight night. Icon wasn't created by AKI. and yeah i will look at the Def Jam Icon 2 beta. I heard about rumors of Def Jam: Los Angeles.
Idk. Since DJ is all about rappers and celebrities. There is so much to think. I think homecourt was decent. It fewlt like like NBA jam I was more into NBA jam, NBA Jam TE, and NBA hangtime from the 90s and the new NBA Jam.
Actually, EA didn't make this game. Konami published it. Terminal Reality distributed it and 4mm developed it. EA should bring back AKI to create the next sequel. If they do reunite, they should put Vendetta and FFNY an FFNY: The Takeover (If Possible in HD since it is a prequel to vendetta), into a HD collection or put them in XBLA and PSN with online components.
+Travis Wheeler This IGN review was back in the day. Since its a video review it wont have a score. But I love the game and bought it the first day it came out and still playing and having so much fun.
