I am from Kentucky and his first cousin Lance was best man in my wedding. So glad Rex has turned his life around , and truly love his social conscience.

An inspirational story for sure! Whenever I see Rex on TV or RU-vid, I always think he kind of looks like ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt - and it’d be funny to see them do a show together. Once a ‘baller’, always a ‘baller’ I guess. Only I imagine Rex would say the so-called game of life is bigger than basketball. Keep it up, Sir…you’re ahead. Thanks for the coverage CBS.

I remember Rex when he played for Kentucky. He could shoot the lights out. That Kentucky racism is real strong. I applaud him for being honest about race. Racism will never die in the US. lt is stronger now than 50 years ago. Race hatred will be the downfall of this country. Glad Rex is getting it together. God bless.

There’s probably a bit of self hatred in all of us. It’s learning to forgive ourselves, grow, and improve that is the tricky part. We can all take something away from his experience.
