They’re saying that Kobe wasn’t friends with anyone who wasn’t on his team and LeBron James was which is why Lakers’ fans may not have liked James. Well, Jordan and Kobe were friends and they were opponents. James has a couple Championships under his belt and you don’t get that being chummy with your opponents. James had respect for his opponents in much the same way that Magic Johnson respected Larry Bird. There’s nothing wrong with that. Didn’t Bird and Johnson do a commercial together and didn’t Magic eat lunch at Larry Birds’ mom’s house during that time? Yeah, they’re opponents but you still respect your opponent regardless. People deserve civility. They’re fighting the same fight and overcoming the same hurdles as you are.
