ONLY IF YOU WERE RICH was the past fun. Youll learn that the hard way. I have memories of being in a really shitty public school in early 90s and i mean yeah thank god we had CompuServe and aol to go home to to do real learning lol
Ahh! The days of outrageous long distance call prices. One of the few good things about nowadays, long distance calls are no longer costing an arm and a leg, lol. Still I would love to go back to the 70's and 80's, best decades of my life.
I actually got emotional watching these commercials. It really brought me back to an, innocent, simpler time. I was 8-9 yrs old and I remember most of them
You ain't lying there buddy it's sick in today's wotld. Hey brotha we got our memories and RU-vid to watch the old stuff. Blessings to you my friend . And may the 80's live on threw people like us.😎
And so Dr Beckett, leaps from commercial to commercial, putting right what once went wrong, and hoping each time, that his next leap, is the leap into a soap commercial.
They were crazies back then too. They just hid it better because society would shame them for it. Now, all sorts of insanity is embraced and celebrated as "stunning and brave" and "being woke" and if you question it, you're a racist and a bigot or whatever.
Omg!!!!!! I loved me some shield soap back in tha day!!! Kinda smells like Irish spring soap but stronger!! I loved the scent.and it stayed on you threw out the day!
True, but at least they were doing something, and it was pretty realistic. My parents were on all sorts of teams and leagues in the ‘80s. Today’s commercials could be realistic by featuring 20 somethings smoking a bong in their mom’s basement at 10 am on a Tuesday while waiting for their unemployment checks.
I'm 44 now, and was 8 when this originally aired. One of my neighbors is presently 8 yrs old in 2021 so 2021 for him is what 1984 was to me.... what's saddest is that he won't realize how magical 2021 is until 2057 when he's 44yrs old.
Leave your dog at home is something I’m still thinking and it’s not usually due to weather concerns, it’s more that their dog is barking and growling for extensive periods of time, waiting on an owner who shouldn’t have their dog in a car.
Maybe they should resume the don’t leave a dog in a car one. Too many stupid idiots still doing this today. (And not to mention many leaving their kids in them too).
CDs are like more futuristic than what we have today. One EMP and we can never prove our technology even did anything , but with CDs you can at least see how they worked lol
Yes well I miss these old shows and commercials even if they are corny or have high phone prices lol. Wish we could turn back time. Thanks for the memories.❤️❤️
Man this just brings back a lot of memories. kinda gets u thinking about life and how long u been here so far.and those hair styles and clothing back then..70s it was bellbottoms and side burns..80s with the feathered hair cuts and tube socks..and those shorts men wore.lolol if a guy walked down the street wearing those shorts today?u would think he was....well u know. I don't want to say it. Lololol.
Nowadays to get your lady in the mood, you have to use Dr. Sqautch, soap for men at $7 a bar. According to the guy who does the commercial for this soap, unless you use Dr. Sqautch soap the soap you shower with is sh*t. I think the price for it is sh*t. Complete bullsh*t.
I miss these commercials...Today the women would be screaming because back then most women stayed home and cooked,etc.... I miss these commercials. Such a simpler time. No politics...just advertizement. I miss the 1980's. :'(
I think the pitch session for every new TV production in 1984 must have started with "Okay, we'll start by saying we can all agree that Ann Jillian will definitely be in it. Other than that, what's it about?"
with this and the other 70s/80s commercials that were posted between 2018 and 2020, nah. i got the lot on ebay and sold all my limbs to get it because the auction shot up quick in a really stupid bidding war, all because me and some other fellas were trying to find a rare logo which ended up not being in the lot all i know is that most of the lot are nth gen copies from various sources
That commercial previewing that a "new" taste of Coke is coming is priceless. I've enjoyed these a great deal as in High School I watched WGHP regularly.
Yes ma.am and sirs. Thisey good ole days are gone forever my friends. Gee I need a Time machine, what I wouldn't do, to go back in Time. Lot's better than what hell we're living today's COVID 19 and ppl are hateful and disrespect Al.
I hate commercials that show people washing themselves with their hands. I have never bathed that I didn’t use a wash cloth. Why would you wash your dishes or your car with a rag and not yourself?
@@poptarget I have a whole separate routine for washing my face. I guess you use your hands? You just use soapy hands to wash your body? You just rub your soapy hands in the crack of your ass? You’re doing it wrong.
Made for TV movies & mini-series were an event to look forward to, a big deal for the networks & were of theatrical quality. Hard to locate decent movies, shows & music these days. 😐
Yes, like The Thorn Birds, Lace, Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna. Around the time James Cameron Titanic came out, there was a two-night mini-series of the Titanic which was really good
31:36 "Pink tofu? Excuse me." Fun commercial for California Cooler. 1:15:37 Ed Grover for Apple Macintosh. 56:50 Vic Caroli for Cover Girl. 41:30 Ralph Bell for Ford. Great v/o talent from the 60s through 80s. 1:01:35 W.B. Brydon for Renault. Voiced all those Oxy skin care ads. 18:56 David Huddleston for Product 19. He was in Blazing Saddles. 44:08 Karl Weber on the voice-over for Mrs. Paul's.
The commercials now are sick and woke. Just rooted in an underlying current of, for lack of a better word, evil. I miss these commercials, innocent and fun.
Commercials shot on film with music and jingles during this time are classic but many of the other ones shot on much lower quality video with no background music (like the Kraft one) are really dated and something I think many people ignore when being nostalgic about this time. Also, even the good ones are ruined by the excessive amount of replays of the same commercials we used to have to endure just to watch TV, which you can skip now with streaming services.
Pringles potato chips are deadly at 30,000 feet in the air. Besides, there would be no room to dance around the isles like that being that passengers are stuffed like sardines in planes nowadays.
