Kid been doing this for YEARS at this point yall so there’s absolutely no stopping him. The church song see nothing wrong. Nor does his own parents. To me this is totally disrespectful to the house of God. No taking what your playing serious when they trynna push a message is foul. His arrogant ways has a lot to do with it too there's people out there that wish they knew what he knew but he's abusing his gift I see no longevity. I see why people don't want to do work with him, that selfish mindset is a bad trait.
I was going to refrain from commenting because I’m both a drummer and an organist…experience is the best teacher and although no one can take the talent you’re showing away experience will show that sometimes less is more. Just because you can chop and fill doesn’t mean you should. The organist was giving directions and you just breezed past it…experience will show you how to do and when to do, idk what you plans are as a musician is but one key skill is to be teachable and open and this shows you’re not there….yet if you want to be. From my experience I’ve played for many and I’ve played for few, played for known people and and unknown people and artists and one thing you don’t want to have in the music world or any world is a bad reputation. If you by chance read any of these comments I’d say take the good and work on the bad, you got the skills but build the personality. But other than that stay encouraged

You’re an amazing drummer but you do way too much. Your fills and chops are out of place. Pocket will trump chops every time. Quality over quantity, less is more, simplicity over intricate.
It’s sad to watch such skill be a waste. His attitude and etiquette is that of a 10 year old boy throwing a tantrum. The sunglasses and hat and cockiness and grandstanding is a way of getting attention. He don’t care about God or that church at all…it’s about having all eyes on him. Someone needs to screenshot his responses and send them to the church and ask is this how you want your church respresented? This little boy is laughing in both the church’s face and God’s face. Maybe one day if and when he matures he will be an outstanding musician, but until then he is just a nuisance and an embarrassment to this church and to God. I normally never comment especially on RU-vid for that matter however as an keys/organist/ and drummer this tears my nerves up not just the chops but the arrogance behind having no wisdom….life and embarrassment will humble him some day however if he wants to continue to be confined to one platform let him remain arrogant being….1) humble …..2) having pocket 3) chops are great and i will never be against them I believe in expressing yourself because i still do when the time allows but placement sir is everything. But furthermore being humble will take you further than sloppy chops ever will! Ending on a good note though he has the potential of being an absolute monster on set but its in these moments you should soak up what you can be teachable yo thats real it’s people who are better than you that won’t get the gigs not because of their skill/talent but because of their arrogance! It’s tricky to show off our talent and stay within the confines of the song . The attention is supposed to be on God and sometimes we can take away from that trying to show off our God given ability. That's a very good point. It don't have to be flashy just make it sound good and stay in the pocket. He's 25 and don't realize that yet. He doesn't perform well in a band or group setting only thinking about himself. He's quite honestly selfish and very much closed minded.

Maybe he stopped playing for some time and just came back to it recently. I noticed he was not sounding like guy i knew in one of his videos where he was playing on the street. He needs to go back to more practice if that is actually what happened. He sounded almost like a semi-pro in drums I know he is a professional drummer. As a drummer myself you can be rusty when you stopped playing for a long time and need some more practice to get back into form. God bless my brother.

Hey man, listen, I think you're a beast on drums 100% percent. But whole time, coming from a drummer who's younger than you, and I'm just tellin' you from what I know as I'm still learning myself, you have to stay in pocket when it comes to these songs. It's ok to add a couple of licks here and there, but too many chops can take away from the rhythm of the song. But just keep practicin', and you'll improve.
