2wks after my 23rd birthday this came out. 5 yrs into 70s nostalgia & this made me miss & love the 70s even more. To me it's looking like the 50s & 70s were the most loved & missed out of all the decades, & the most celebrated during their nostalgic time. I can't begin to imagine a show like this for the 2000'$.😀😂😃🤣 The 1970s 4ever ! ! ! ! ! ! !🤩🤠🤓😈😇👴👵🤰🎅🕺💃👣🖕💝💋👡👢🐎🦅🦈🦋🌻🌼🌻🌼🍁🍓🍔🍟🌮🍻🌎💈🚕🕰️🎃🎉🎈🏈🥊⚾🎵📻🎶🎸☎️📺📷📬My Childhood .......🙂
That moment when Olivia Newton-John came up to speak for the first time and everyone stood and applauded was one of the most incredible uplifting moments I’ve ever seen at any concert/event like this. This event was 16 months after Newton-John had been diagnosed with Breast cancer the first time and courageously fought through it and had been declared healthy a few months prior to this. The audience was acknowledging her for her courage and bravery more then anything else. She remains courageous to this day. This was a fun show to watch and I’m so glad you can find 70’s music here on RU-vid because it was a great decade for music.
Fantastic show. Russell Thompkins Jr and Stylistics, Spinners, BeeGees, Rod Stewart and so many more greats. I totally enjoyed this. Think you will too. ⭐🎶⭐ priceless memories of yesteryear. Many of them gone now. Pay close attention youngsters. This was how history was made!!! 🎵🎶🎵 ( and yes, STREAKERS were popular " appearances" in 70's.)
@@musicmixesforyourheartsoul4129 That was not the original name of the show. The NBC part is not on any of the promotion leading up to the show. Just a little bit of trivia
During the time this was filmed my friends and I would go to CLUB 1970 in Hollywood. I recognize several of the guys and girls dancing in the audience, from CLUB 1970. GREAT Memories!!!!
OMG! The Spinners are one of my favorite vocal groups of all time, love these guys. Everytime I hear "Mighty Love" it makes me think of my dad it was one of his favorite songs, Rest on in peace Daddy I miss you so much!😪💯❤️
I can’t thank you enough for uploading this. I worked this show but never got to see it on TV. Better late than never. Thank you thank you thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
I remember seeing this when it aired back in 1993. It was fun seeing so many greats from the 70's, both from TV and music. But the one person I was hoping to see, and I know many others were hoping to see, wasn't there, and that person is David Cassidy. He was a huge part of the 1970's, but he wasn't a part of this TV special, and he was never mentioned once! David Cassidy made a big comeback in the early 90's. It"s strange that someone who was such a big part of the 1970's was excluded from this 70"s celebration. This TV special aired long before he passed away. Where was David Cassidy?
@@andrewpotok2661 Okay, that was very rude, and unfunny! I know David Cassidy was an alcoholic, but please don't joke about it! Alcoholism is what killed him! Nothing funny about that! 😡😡😡😡😡
Shai introduces the fabulous Russell Thompkins Jr and the Stylistics. At 1:15:59 What the crap...they had Shai try to sing one of Stylistics greatest songs....." You Make me Feel Brand new"..... no. No!
