Pity the oncologists esp medical/clinical blindly follow the treatment protocols practiced in the high income /developed countries which are resource intensive as well as very expensive. In the low & middle income regions such as south East Asia with no health insurance and bare min public sector facilities such regimens ie chemo, targeted/ immunotherapy are not within the reach of the vast majority of patients. It’s high time our health planners and researchers look into this and device regional protocols that are both accessible and suitable to the majority of these unfortunate patients.
