I chuckled at the line of cars behind you at 6 mins in, and then said "good men, good men" when you all pulled over. Nice to see the Corvette driver give his thanks as well. Obviously wanted a bit of an open-road blast. Good job all round!
Great video Stephen excellent drone footage I had an oh sh*t moment when you flew the drone over the edge of the road it looked as though the Landy had drive straight off. Thanks for sharing and keep em coming.
Hello to Y'all ,I live in the US, and have a Series II,88 soft top. I have had it for 20 yrs now and have made some changes that have made it better. I put a 6At Turbo Cummings with a NV4500 Dodge trans 5 speed. I have drove across the US but I want to drive across Canada next. Your videos are awesome as they show Great scenery, and of course the LandRovers. Very Nice
Great video and awesome scenery! Next time I want to go with you in my 57 S1 88”. Too bad that I am very far away from you guys. You can see a little bit of the roads where I travel and my S1 in a video that I uploaded last year. Subscribed!
A long time coming, but fantastic trip and you certainly upped the quality of video editing, great stuff. Great drone footage, worth the investment too. Keep them coming, very motivational for me to finish my 2a build. Cheers, Carlos
Very much enjoyed this video, beautiful scenery and beautiful looking vehicles doing the drive! I’m planning to do the NC500 in the defender either this year or next but do i5 over a weekend to stop off at a few sights and do some wild camping too. I’ve been considering a series 2 recently and this video is pushing me towards buying one! Great work my friend!
I’m actually watching 2018 part 1 right now! Really enjoyed “A road to (literally) nowhere.” There’s just something about the older Land Rovers. Take it easy buddy 👌🏻
Brilliant video, first saw one of the others you made on the lrsoc forum and was hooked! Could you tell me what size the wheels/tyres are on JAW 804 please (thinking of changing mine on the 86") Are they 7.50s on LWB rims?
Sam Vimes hi, thanks. I think they are 825 tyres on either 1 Ton or F.C. rims as far as I can remember. I think they are quite rare sand tyres. Cheers Steve.
Where does one install speakers in an old Landy? Good choice on the Tripath TA2020. I think Bluetooth would be a bit more convenient or may be a Raspberry Pi running MPD daemon (may be try Rune/Volumio/Moode Audio), then in effect you have a jukebox and can conserve phone battery as it eliminates the streaming. Also what drone did you use?
delakota555 hi pal. The waterproof boat speakers are mounted in the seat box. A lot of people think that in old Landies you can’t hear music but I can confirm that’s wrong. It’s banging!
