Defalco: Breathes Announcers: "Look at that posture, such coordination between mouth, windpipe and lungs... outstanding, impressive, you can't but admire this godlike creature."
I don’t understand why all the haikyu fans keep adding haikyu before everything 🤣 just a pet peeve but they’re always like wow kageyama serve or rolling thunder, nah bruh that’s just how you play the game

i know its 2021 but this came up on my recommended and I just gotta say that the guys in the stands at 54:30 make me question college entrance exams lmaoo
DDog52 ya... that’s cute. I believe I was referring to the skill of an individual player, not the team as a whole (who only lost by a few points at that).
TJ is more talented than Gyimah. Gyimah can jump and smack the ball no doubt, but TJ is better at serving, passing, and pretty much everything else. TJ is without a doubt the most talented player in college
I wish volleyball was more popular in the States cause I would've played this game my whole life. But the only sports americans care about are Basketball, Baseball, and Football
UCLA choked. Up 2 sets to 1 and up 17-13 in the fourth. They lived by the serve and died by the serve. At 17-13 UCLA missed their serve. At 18-16 UCLA did a cotton candy easy serve and lost the point 20-20 UCLA missed serve 21-21 UCLA missed serve 22-22 UCLA missed serve 23-23 UCLA missed serve 24-24 UCLA did a very easy serve and lost point 24-25 Long Beach ace to win the set.
@@sliceofcheese9302 I've seen a lot of these and it seems it has everything to do with timing. Timing is a hard thing to get right though, especially with the pressure of the match.
I know some players that do the same run-up for both. Faking a spin isn´t really effective, as there is more than enough time for the opposition to adjust.
Bro! Seriously, that hit me hard, too! I intentionally did not finish watching this video 2 years ago, since I don't wanna know who won. But yeah, watching it right now struck me, since I'm rooting for UCLA. They could've gotten the gold if not for those costly service errors at the latter part of the 4th period, albeit LB was just up at least 1 before snatching the set. That was come from behind win for them knowing they're down at least 4 or 5 points before squaring the game to 17-19 mark.
This just makes me sad that i didn't appreciate volleyball before discovering haikyu... Wish I woulda pursued this sport above all the others I've played.
Marc Matbagon I find it extra hilarious that you’ve spelled his name nefalco 😂 I really got sick of the announcers shitting themselves over defalco, tuaniga and ensing (the numbers speak for themselves, they’re immensely talented) when ma’a, kofi, Dylan missry and others of UCLA were making just as great if not better plays
Incredible gameplay. I'm guessing service pct is what the coach's gonna be working on from now henceforth. So many free points from UCLA, both teams were SOLID
It's weird how an anime can make you appreciate the intricacies of this game. I didn't give two shits about volleyball like 5 years ago, and now it's one of my biggest regrets that I didn't play in high school.
Steve Bourke i just rewatched it at 0.25x, and now i see it, Long Beach’s middle actually kicked the bottom of the net on the way up. that’s likely why it wasn’t called because the refs were focused on the top of the tape where the play was.
Ryan McDonald Yeah I totally get your point, but still, they don’t have to see what part of the Net is touched, they just need to see that it’s moving and the ball isn’t dead, also that no players are outside the court lines (when a net touch is ok). They blatantly missed this one
Its called a double contact. Its when the person who is setting hand's touch the ball at two different times usually giving a spin. Anyway your hands much touch the ball at the same time or else it is a violation. It is usually common amongst those who are not the setter.
@@wingyanleung8505 SO you can be on the National Team and still be in college? I thought you have to finish college to go PRO...It's also interesting that they have time to travel internationally while in college...O_O"
@@zackd2852 yes i think so. I think they dont have that much time too. that's why TJ didnt attend the world championship this year haha. but I know some player will stop their academic for a while like Murphy for the USA women team. She supposed to be graduated at 2011 but eventually graduated in 2017. but tbh i think its good for them to play on national team earlier to gain experiences.
@@wingyanleung8505 @Zack D you can only play on a national team if you get invited by the coaches and when you play internationally you can't earn $$$ from winnings like the other players because if you do then I think the NCAA can suspend not only the player but the entire team so the players only go on a national team to gain the experience of playing at that level internationally and then they go back to college when they want. The only player I can recall doing this was in the Women's game when Logan Tom was only a freshman at Stanford and I think she played in the 2000 Summer Olympics then went back to Stanford after the games.
Zack D he played for the USA in the NVL nations volleyball league. Which is each country showing off their young talent. Not nessecarally the national team
I’m highkey sick of these Haikyu comments like holy shit please stop. I watched it and love it but can we just watch the fucking sport without weebs that’s aren’t quirky nor unique
I’m thinking of joining a Volleyball club in High School cause they don’t have one in my middle school. Anybody can recommend me some High Schools? PS I live in Nevada
I don't underdstand why the commentors say that in set 4 they were 22-19, maybe i'm missing something they said because english isn't my first language, but someone knows why?
i don't see the sense of jumping on 1st tempo 3 blockers like it's easy to do point, you just do a volley in 4/2 or you smash it on the block and it goes off of it in 4/2 lol
