Do their scholarships go away? A four year full scholarship is valued as high as $250,000. Will athletic departments have to issue full scholarships plus paying players? Non-revenue generating sports are going to take a hit. Why pay male and female golf teams when I could use that money generated from football to pay football players more.

If they are getting paid, then they can pay for their own degree. Give the scholarship money to real students.

Why waste the university’s time organizing professional sports? They can form football clubs even at the high school level. This money stuff has me really turned off about American football.
