Maaan, fuck that 1/4 mile! This car is f*ckin' BADASS!! The sound of the V6 alone is mouthwatering let alone with the woosh from the big turbo... NICE!
This is probably true, but one of the major reasons euros do so well is due to the attention paid to the inside of the vehicle as well... thus providing a very well rounded package ;)
Bi turbo just means twin turbos (aka two turbos). The two turbos are actually rarely staggered in size. Most people have the same size turbos on their cars. It's only been in recent years that they are starting to put a smaller turbo with a bigger turbo for all the rev range.
A Bi-Turbo means, that you have 2 turbo's. One for the low rpm. And a big turbo for the rest of your rpm. If you use a normal turbo, you have a turbo lag. Your turbo is working only with 3000 rpm (something like that). Your small turbo is for between the 0 and 3000 rpm, and we call those small turbo's compressors. So with a Bi-turbo you have no turbolag and you create a lot of more hp ;)
Bi turbo does indeed mean that there are 2 turbos, however it will never mean that they are different in size. Twin and Bi should always refer to 2 identical sized turbos. Sequential is the word you would want to use for describing 2 turbos of varying sizes. Throw another wrench into the toolbox... VW is looking at what they call 'Twin Charge' which will use a supercharge at low rpm and turbo at high! That should be out on the Golf VI ;)
Golf 5 in the UK has the Turbo and the Supercharger strapped to the 1400cc engine, makes 170Bhp, not impressive but decent start for twin forced induction.
lol nice batman music, i wasnt expecting that. this thing sounds nasty as hell though, have you thought of getting E-Cut's for the exhaust? sounded a bit restricted in some clips. nice vid
@asweeatsugar lol u are right, that was a typo. I knew it was a 6cyl but when I think R32, the first thing that comes to mind is GTR, my bad... either way this car is sick. If i had one, i would want it to sound like this one.
Hey guys i have a question. I have a golf Mk4 1.9 TDI its of the year 2000. I want to change the original radio/stereo equipment that's from volkswagen cuz it's really old. Can anybody help me if this product is compatible? Jensen VM9223. Thnx
@mustang4sho 1 thing wrong w/ that. If you have a 300z or rx7, every1 knows it will be fast, you take that same amount of money you spent on those cars and put it in a plan ole vw...and you get that exact response like you gave, and then the step on the throttle, eat both cars off the line and crap it back out, leaving you with that empty feeling and anger at your car.
does this have a wide body kit on it? if so can someone who knows which one it is send me a msg, and any thing done to the motor..thanks im getting an 04 GTI soon and i like the look and sound of this one
I drive an 02' MK4 bro. hahaha I know they are not the strongest. But There is a good second delay between throttle. I can throw through gears pretty damn fast. Never had a trouble with my car.
