She's back for season 17. She didn't like the way the character was written, so she opted out of the show for that. Yet maybe it's because of the fans clamoring for something else, she decided it's worth a shot. Though I don't know if she's gonna stay, or they'd close her storyline properly.

a) Ziva was never dead. b) the fact that Tony lived to make it to Israel after he killed Michael in HER apartment says a lot about how much she loved Tony then. cuz they BOTH could have, and likely SHOULD HAVE, killed him.

Yeah. I think she did more details because he had the plague when she started doing his, so maybe she put more details because she thought he was dying.

Well, I looked up the knives they use in Mossad, and apparently the knife Ziva uses is called a "UZK-FXB-007 Mossad II Fixed Knife". And it is a fixed knife, because she didn't open it before throwing it. The other main knives they use are the ones with release mechanisms, meaning they are pocket knives. I guess, based on your preference(silent kills, gutting, throwing, etc.) the knife type will vary.
