Well, I don't like how they treat Emily on those intros. :( This is her 5th season on NCIS and they still put all newbies before her... Torres, Quinn and now that Maria Bello. C'mon! Am I the only one who thinks that Bishop character is cool? I like her more than I liked Ziva and I feel sick when I see all those coments about bringing back Ziva or Tiva. Tony and Ziva left, because those actors wanted to do something new. Bishop is great and I think her and Torres, together with Gibbs, Abby and McGee would be better than whole team which is overcrowed now. I don't miss Tony, I don't miss Ziva, because is normal - people go away and they are replaced all the time. Anyway, I think that NCIS after Abby's last episode will not be the same.
Finally someone I can relate to. Personally I don't think Emily is being treated badly, I don't read too much into these things, but I do think people need to move on from Tiva. I think since Emily came on the show, the show has been going in a different direction and I really like it. The humour is better and we get to delve deeper into the characters lives and its not just about the next case and finally we see Gibbs as a person capable of not always trying to act so tough, I especially like how he treats Mcgee now. I'm hoping to get more from Abby like we did in season 10 (Abby was my favourite character but for some reason I feel that her acting has gotten worse??). Wilmer is great he is literally the polar opposite of Gibbs and yet I love them both. Its a shame that Jennifer had to go I was hoping for some romance between Quinn and Torres and there was something about her that I also enjoyed. Always loved Palmer and now I love him more, he is no longer a joke but actually a helpful and insightful person. Finally, the only problem I have is with Reeves (Duane Henry), I just don't see his purpose. I don't feel like he adds anything. I mean idk maybe I need more time.
Well, Rocky Carroll and David McCallum are, let's say, like the icing on the cake ;) Personally, I like Ducky so much, but I've heard he is not very often on the screen during current season? (I am still watching 14th, btw). I was writing about the main agents. You can even find intro of NCIS' season 11 where Bishop is on third place, just right after Dinozzo! I guess it was only for a few episodes, but I remember when she joined the team she was a VERY smart NSA agent, now I feel like she is not that intelligent and plays a background character. There is too many people in the office, they replaced Tony by 3 people, so if Quinn left the team after 14th season, IMO it would be better not to add another person. And I feel bad, because ultra fans of Ziva are really big haters of Bishop (but in the process of time they focused more on Torres and Quinn, I think ;)) . I was wondering why people can't just enjoy the show which is still good.
Has to be something in the other actors' contracts about opening credit placement (Bello, Esposito, Valderrama). The NCIS director actor/actress has always been second to last, be it Lauren Holly or Rocky Carroll. I agree, Emily should be fourth behind Murray.
McCallum always had an "and" in front of his name. That's actually also some kind of specially honour just as being named first. And when Rocky Carroll became a member of the main cast they placed an "with" in front of his name, so for now these two will remain at the end of the credits until one of them leaves. But they had never listed the actorsand actresses in the order they joined the cast, otherwise Cote de Pablo wouldn't have been mentioned after Michael Weathlery and before Pauley Perrette during her time on the show. And Emily Wickersham actually had been put in front of Brian Dietzen after being initially being placed behind him on the opening credits, I think with the start of season 14.
Billing isn't always about seniority. It's one of those things negotiated by agents, and when you're a well-known actor like Wilmer and Maria are, your agent has a bit more clout to negotiate such things when you join an existing show.
