I realize you didn’t take any excursions but maybe you can answer my question. We have a snorkel excursion on Maui booked thru NCL, no where in the description does it talk about transportation to harbor. I called NCL, she thought I was demented for thinking transportation wasn’t included but she also said it was leaving from Lahaina. So not a lot of confidence in her knowledge. Did you come across anyone scrambling for a ride because transportation wasn’t provided for their excursion?
We had some friends that booked excursions through the cruise. They all had transportation provided. Once you disembark for the day and exit the dock, there is a pick up area for excursions, taxis, ride shares, etc. For excursions there will be someone waiting to check everyone in before you get onto the bus. There were signs everywhere for the excursions, so there shouldn't be an issue finding where you are supposed to go. If something does come up and there are issues with transportation, a lot of the ports do have shuttles that go to and from the airports for car rentals. We had downloaded both lyft and uber while there. Lyfts were reasonably priced, depending on the time of day. Uber tended to be more expensive. I would suggest having one of those as a backup just in case something happens and you need a last minute ride. I hope this helps! - Natalie
