I used uworld when i took my nclex and i loved it. I passed the exam first try at 75 after 13 yrs since a graduated in college. I'm going to recommend uworld to my sister when her turn to take the nclex too. I subscribed i still want to listen

Hi, congratulations you passed. I’m figuring out on UWorld have two types of reviews like Nclex RN and Nclex rn with next generation so which one is good to go with?

@@jasskaur5136 If you are taking the NCLEX prior to April 2023 do NCLEX -RN, if after do NCLEX next gen. Starting April '23 (I believe) the NCLEX will be renewed with a completely different format

If you anticipate testing any time around April 2023, we recommend purchasing the subscription that includes Next Generation content. April 1, 2023 is when the Next Generation exam launches.

Can you address airborne, such as are all the airborne precautions N95 use for all airborne precautions??? I understand TB we use N95 but what about the others in that category 🤔?

Yes, an N95 respirator (ie, a mask that filters at least 95% of airborne particles) is required for all diagnoses that fall under airborne precautions (eg, tuberculosis, varicella [chicken pox], disseminated herpes zoster [shingles], and rubeola [measles]) because these are all spread by tiny, aerosolized particles.

It would be better if you could explain/teach us why you are selecting the correct answers before you select submit. Reading rationales afterwards we can do our selves. What we need is the thinking process how and why you are selecting those answers and why not the other answers? Maybe next time!

I’ve gone through the test plan and can’t find the lab values were expected to know as you mentioned . Can you please point me to the direction ?

Kelvin-The 2019 NCSBN-created test plan for NCLEX®-RN lists the laboratory values that test takers should be able to identify on page 35! We recommend referring to nursing textbooks and sources such as UpToDate for reference ranges as the NCSBN does not provide them.

Are there any lab values not included in the NCSBN 2019 test plan that will be included on the NCLEX? Like I see they don’t mention any electrolytes other than sodium and potassium, so does that mean we don’t need to remember the lab values for Mg, Ca, etc?

I think the answer to my question is no because why would the nclex include content not included in their own Test Plan, but why was I not informed of this at any point during nursing school

Correct! For the NCLEX, you are only responsible for the laboratory values listed in the Test Plan. Prioritize these values in your studying, but remember that knowledge of other values will help you succeed in practice as a nurse!

Yes, UWorld subscriptions for RN are the same for both US and Canada. We convert all applicable values to metric for this reason.

I purchased my RN uworld this past Friday and I am 😊 the Rationales are really easy to understand. I took my Lvn several years back and uworld was so help I passed with 85 questions, so I am ready for my RN & I still have faith in uworld. Thank you for all you guys are doing. Have you been struggling with NCLEX be it LPN or RN, have you taken the exam for more than once? Are you taking it for the first time? Do you have a too busy schedule to study? Then we can’t see the difference between NCLEX bold words and the bolded words by them. I also don’t think they can make it bold. It’s taken from the website. They just need to zoom it in next time.
