@@EllenDegenerate my biggest problem was timing. I was trying to get permission to test in a different state and by the time that came, the only date I could take it was in the middle of moving and I took it the day after I got home from my honeymoon and it was just a downward spiral from there.
Best site for IM in children: Anterolateral aspect of thigh/ vastus lateralis Common sign of amikacin toxicity: majorly signs of nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity Drug to treat iron overload: Deferoxamine Intrinsic factor producing cell: Gastric parietal cell Melatonin secreting gland: Pineal gland
9:48 why this is can’t be ruled out as fully compensated respiratory alkalosis? Why we are taking account bicarbonate in this one while taking co2 in previous question
Thank you for this comment. I came across this video and I plant to listen and take notes while also listening to Mark Klimek. Something I noticed is that Mark doesn’t go over compensation
Taking my test today, went through the hurst review, ATI quiz banks, listened to Mark K lectures, and watched this. I WILL PASS! updating when I get results
This class is very nice. Please make video subject wise medical surgical Fon Pediatrics Psychiatry Obs gynae Chn As it like this video all subjects wise master class please make video
10:42 Alkalosis- DECREASED Respiratory rate is sign of higher pH level 11:39 but here high pH level causes hypokalemia but the sign of hypokalemia is INCREASED respiratory rate. isn’t it contradictory
"Dear learner, Thank you for your response. As you mentioned, the promotional content in the bottom right and left corners is obscuring the video. We have acknowledged this issue, and in the next video, we will reduce the size of these promotional elements on the screen. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I have 3 months left before the end of my last term in nursing and I am beyond terrified of taking the NCLEX. I’ve heard contradicting stories from cohorts before me about the NGN version of the exam. Any thoughts, ideas, tips?
I graduate in May and I am scared. I feel like I don’t know much of anything. lol. I feel like idk what to do when I get on the floor. I just wanna deliver the most safe patient care.

I just came across this video trying to find out nclex LPN questions/answers that will help me. It seems like pretty accurate and I would just like to know if this is just for RN or LPN’s as well? Thank you 🙏
Hello guys, please this his pattern, is that the appropriate Way for Nect Gen Nclex questions? I am still new in the system, I humbly need more information. Thanks
This may be a silly question, but is this for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-LPN/LVN? It doesn't specify but by the looks of the questions it seems to be for RN. Thought i'd ask anyways.
I’ve learned it as 22-26, but depending on your country, the values might differ a bit. the questions will never ask for anything too close to the range anyways so it’s fine as long as you know it’s around 22-26/28 you’ll be okay lol
Gastric parietal cells produce intrinsic factor. Melatonin is secreted by pineal gland. And thank you for the video. I've watched every part. Really grateful. 🙏🏽

7.4 is a normal pH so neither acidotic or alkalotic. You’re right, respiratory depression would lead to acidosis because you aren’t letting off enough CO2 which is an acid so if it’s stuck in your body/bloodstream you’d be in respiratory acidosis. If you watch the mark k lectures here on RU-vid they’re really great and helped me understand this concept better!!
Because in respiratory depression, you’re cells aren’t being perfused due to decrease in breathing. Decrease in ventilation leads to CO2 build up. CO2 is an acid therefore it leads to acidosis.
same here because first he said acidosis is less than 7.45 and alkolosis is greater than 7.45 but in the 1st half of the "FULLY COMPENSATED RESPIRATORY ACIDOS VIDEO" he said it's resp acidosis but the PCO2 AND THE BASE WHERE HIGH Shouldn't it have been Fully Comensated Respiratory Alkalosis?

I figured it out - when we are dealing with acid base imbalances as ph goes up K goes down and alkalosis has certain s/ sx opposite to kalemias BUT for electrolyte imbalances not concerning acid base stuff- we stick to the other rules that Kalemias do the same, except for heart rate and urine output
