ok essay time Pros: This level has very cool transitions, and I especially like the ones at 1:05, 1:11 and 1:17 as they fit very well with the song. Considering the song is describing a fire in a room and things burning to ashes (correct me if I'm wrong), the level's current monochrome design fits perfectly with the song. The design of the transitions in this level fit with the rawness and emotion of the song. This level manages to use changes in speed to represent changes in the tone of the song. The gravity switches where the player goes to the top of the screen then appears at the bottom fit well with the changes in pitch. The spider gamemode is used heavily in this level, fitting with the typically staccato notes of the song. The glowing flashes that follow the player from 0:48 to the end of the level sync to the undertone of the song. In general, this level syncs almost perfectly to the song without being overbearingly spammy. Cons: To be honest, this level at first glance does not look fun to play. I will leave a reply after playing it to change this if need be, but for now I think it is true. The balancing of this level is rather randomised & unclear, and I am unable to tell which difficulty this level is trying to be. For example, the last click could belong in anywhere from a hard demon at least to an entry-level extreme at most. However, other parts of the level are very open, including lots of the ufo and wave sections. Personally, I dislike the swing gamemode but that is just an opinion so I will leave it out of my ratings. man i cant stop watching this layout over and over again, its just so well made bro, 0:48 this part always gives me goosebumps, 1:00 and this part is so clean bro. def one of my fav gd levels for sure
I was really excited to see that this layout used the NCS song “Cradles.” “Cradles” is one of my favorite NCS songs, so that made this even better. Plus, the layout itself is great. It’s really creative and flows nicely with the song. It definitely shows that a lot of thought and effort went into making this.
Listening to this song when walking home from the bus stop in middle school to hang out at a friends house and play Roblox and Brawl Stars years ago was quite the feeling. One that will never be replicated.
The layout and effects are quite good, however I feel that the gameplay is not the best, being quite short and without effort towards the playability and in line with the music, but I respect the creator.
