when kick it was released i read in the comments "give johnny more lines and less clothes" and that's my mantra since then

limitless, punch, and sticker are definitely my top 3 nct 127 songs. they're just so good at executing unique and experimental sounds!

For Sticker, the video concept is that they were hackers who were sucked into an old shooter-type video game with a sorta stylized Vegas/cowboy/rodeo kinda theme. Hence the weird feel to the setting and why it feels a little flat or analog maybe... And then if you think of this concept within the frame of NCT's overall dreams/dreaming/synchronization of dreams storyline concept, it's probably even more likely that they were just dreaming they were hackers. I do feel like SM is somewhat reverting back to their old ways of the "SM Box" where all mv's were filmed on a very obvious sound stage, with a VERY simple background, maybe spicing it up with a set piece or two occasionally. 😑

SM actually hired a movie fight trainer and martial arts coach to teach the members of NCT-127 how to do the kicks, punches and use the nunchucks, etc. for their "Kick It" MV. This might even help you to get to know the members a little bit because they will use their names in the English subs when the members do the behind the scenes interviews while filming. Most people don't get all the references to Bruce Lee in "Kick It" (Chinese/Korean title "Hero") even though everything is based on being like Bruce Lee -- hence why they say Bruce Lee like a hundred times in the song LOL -- and black and yellow are Bruce Lee's signature colors -- so, that is why "Kick It" used those colors. (Many say this MV reminds them of the Movie "Kill Bill," without realizing that movie is based on Bruce Lee-style action movies and is sort of a homage to Bruce Lee.) As you may know, the finger move on the side of their nose is a signature Bruce Lee move. Bruce Lee is a Chinese action hero, so even though this is one of the Korean sub-units of NCT, those are Chinese characters you see on the signs in the MV, etc.

I know probably most people don't agree with me. I just love sticker so much. The flute bothered me the first times only in the first few seconds because it's louder but the rest of the song...iconic. i just love it.

people who like punch on first listen are the same people that like Black on Black & Work It on first listen... its me, I'm people, I always love & appreciate when others enjoy these songs as much as I do. The concept is working hard & pushing through to win including the highs & lows (it goes with the 2 other songs for final round repackage 'Make Your Day' & 'Nonstop', its a whole story) & also Sticker, I had to rewind twice after taeyongs 1st verse & then after that I was like oh hell yeah! Also I know its credited as a flute but istg thats a piccolo or a recorder, do you know how hard it is to reach that note on the flute? & maintain it? cos I do. fucking hard

Thank you for reacting. I'm noticing a trend with 4th gen reactors lol I'm joking about the 4th gen. I honestly don't know when y'all started reacting I just saw NCT & now I'm binging the marathon. Anyways most reactors getting into NCT lately have been choosing Haechan as their bias. SM finally giving him a lot more center time lately since they kept him in the back for a while until his voice matured & his dancing sharpened at least for 127 since in Dream he was always one of the main vocals. Honestly well deserved, I feel like a proud mom that watched him grow up into the amazing idol he is now. Look at him now a double million seller, breaking records left & right. Of course it's not just him but it just feels like it's his time as of late. He's not even one of my 12/23 biases but NCT as a whole are my ult group & every single member has a special place in my heart. This is his era & I'm soo happy for him.

Like everything NCT does, it's all based on their dream concept. Hence, why in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" they are vampires and why you see them sleeping in the beginning and end of the MV. Jaehyun was bit by the vampire, which is the girl they sing about and she is the one that turned them all into vampires. It's the intoxicating power of the vampire girl that has them enchanted which is why they say "girl you're my favorite" in the lyrics. They are beguiled by her powers, which has them devoted to her. This is also why you see them with supernatural vampire abilities like when they flash in and out as they transition between the members. (Often in romantic vampire stories they say the vampires have a shimmering effect.) The butterfly is thought to represent the woman or vampire they are talking about in the song (instead of turning into a bat, maybe she turns into a butterfly), which is why you see the butterfly touching their hearts. You also will see a butterfly appear in several of SM's other groups' MVs -- which is often used as a metaphor to represent a woman (possibly representing a connection to the heart of the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline) in each of the MVs -- and it is thought that this is one of the ways that SM is creating connections between the storylines of its groups. For example, in aespa's storyline starting in 2020 NingNing's symbol is a butterfly, which is thought to possibly be connected to the butterfly we see in EXO's debut "Mama" MVs from 2012, and it's even thought could be connected to the butterfly in SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. Anyweh, DynamicDuo are the founders of it, Crush, Heize, etc. all started off there. Currently they have Huh!, SOLE, HA:TFELT, THAMA and Chamane signed I think. Dynamic Duo, especially Gaeko have done a lot of work with SM in the past, he produced both of the EXO-SC albums and they’ve done multiple collabs with Chen too I believe. ;)

I really hate Favorite era :)))))) TY did not know he have to film vampire concept, he just know when he arrived at film studio and that’s not vampire he want to play eventhough he like vampire concept so much. :))) In 2019 he already film vampire concept as a wish movie in SuperM group.
