I’m curious. Can anyone tell me where the story about Mark passing his audition because of his vocals, or Jaehyun because of his rapping, or Lucas because of his vocals came from? Because my understanding of the audition process is more like Yangyang’s: They see you, and ask if you can sing, dance, or rap. If you can, fine. If not (like in Yangyang’s case) they’ll ask you to try. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter if you can or can’t. They can teach you what you need to know. What they look for is the one thing they can’t teach: charisma.

@@lulashepard3253 For Jaehyun, he even said somewhere (i forgot) that actually he joined SM by casting. After that, at when he was still in trainee time, the trainer focused him more on dancing. after that to his rap. And that's why we know Jaehyun is joining SM by his dancing & rapping. And as we know by now, he's one of NCT's main vocalist bcs his outstanding vocal. Just like Haechan (NCT themselves even said that at the trainee time, Haechan's rapp was more better than Mark At THAT moment). But for Mark, what i know is he passed the global audition by his skill (not sure if it's more focused to vocal/rap) CMIIW.
@@jaehyunjjhyunoh thank you for the response. As I recall, Jaehyun was recruited by an SM scout who waited for him as he leaving his school. It’s possible that these guys were told that this or that got them in, but if they didn’t have the “look” that SM required they weren’t getting anywhere near those training rooms. They could have been the most talented dancers and singers in the world. It was NOT gonna happen. Yangyang had no discernable talent going into his audition. (Neither did Taeyong, come to think of it.) I keep hearing that Lucas got in because of his vocals. If that were true, he would have been standing front and center and singing for every song! Certainly not rapping. (I think he actually auditioned as a model. He supposedly has said that he “did 3 poses,” and that was pretty much it.) SM has been saying for years that they take “pretty rocks and turn them into diamonds”. Everyone who is accepted gets excellent training in everything they need to know to perform well. Some of these guys were definitely talented at one thing or another before they walked through SM’s door, but they got in the door because of how they looked.
So when you asked why mark is so serious, he actually does that to listen to the vocalists (specifically doyoung next to him). You can even see him taking out his in-ear piece at times to listen to them and then he puts it back in. He’s so respectful. He once said that it’s a gift to be able to hear their vocals right next to him, since they usually record their parts separately for songs. But yeah NCT has a no-skip discography
“This person here” is Doyoung, main vocalist. Dingo Killing Voice features talented vocalists of all genres, including idol groups that have an exquisite vocal line like NCT 127.

If you wanna react to any of the songs in this you haven't heard yet: Touch and Highway to Heaven have MVs. Love Song, Baby Don't Like It, Back 2 U, Dreams Come True, Welcome to My Playground, and Designer are b-sides, but they've performed them in concerts before. Lemonade is also a b-side from the sticker album, but it has a track video (not the whole song), and they promoted it on music shows, so it has live stages and a dance practice. Also, the guy at 14:50 is Doyoung.
This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase NCT-127's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a complication of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They have a lot of songs, so as you discovered, you are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs. Mark isn't being serious, he is just enjoying listening to the other members singing. The reason why you see Mark take is in-ear earpiece out so often during this performance is because he said he was just enjoying hearing the members raw vocals. He said he doesn't get to hear a lot of the members sing that often and because they were only playing the music through their in-ears, when he took his in-ears out he could hear the members raw vocals when they were singing. Mark is just vibing to the song. (If you were standing in that room with them, all you would have been able to hear was their voices, not the music.) In case you need a to double check the members, from left to right: Johnny (lead vocalist and sub-rapper), Yuta (lead vocalist), Haechan (main vocalist), Taeyong (leader of all of NCT, main rapper and dancer), Jungwoo (main vocalist), Taeil (main vocalist), Doyoung (main vocalist), Mark (main rapper and dancer) and *Jaehyun (main vocalist and sub-rapper). Some of NCT-127's songs are part of NCT-127 mini albums and other songs are part of full albums that include songs from all of NCT's sub-units. Hence, why some of the album descriptions mention NCT-127 and others just say NCT. Some of these songs are B-sides -- such as "Back 2 U, "Dreams Come True," "Welcome To My Playground," and "Designer," etc. -- so you will only hear them if you listen to the album or watch a live concert performance. "Fire Truck" was NCT-127's debut song, and at that time there were only 7 members of NCT who were in the"Fire Truck" MV -- Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Yuta, Winwin and Haechan. However, now that NCT has 9/10 members they also include Johnny and Jungwoo in the song whenever they perform it. Fun fact: What you heard was the Korean version of "Highway to Heaven," but if you watch the MV for the song, you will see they also have an all English version. ("Highway to Heaven" was released during their North American leg of their tour in 2019.) They have an all English version of some of their songs because NCT-127 promotes a lot in the U.S.) LOL the noise you hear in "Baby Don't Like It" is the squeak of bed springs. "Faster" was just an (INST) instrumental version of the song, which means it's just the music and they don't sing. If you want to hear the full song you have to check out a lyric video or listen to the album. "Faster (INST)" was the intro to "2 Baddies," so Johnny was supposed to be introducing "2 Baddies" at that moment while "Faster" was playing. "2 Baddies" was their most recent comeback song and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote "2 Baddies." If you listened to what Johnny was saying during their "Faster (inst)ermental" part, you may have heard Johnny saying in English that "this is our newest song from our album 2 Baddies," etc. This whole video was designed to promote the fact that they had just released their new 2 Baddies album, which is why "2 Baddies" was the full version of the song.
You can really see here the diversity of NCT 127's discography. Their music has always been labeled as noise music and that it wouldn't work. But they've made it really cool and classy and so many new groups are now doing the so called noise music. But no one really does it like them. Everytime it's always different. They are really good singers. 🥺 PS. The sound that you were curious in Baby Don't Like It is a bed squeak noise 😅
This is why SM needs to remain independent. SM is the best of Kpop. They're still innovating and totally unique - not just from Western music but from other Kpop production companies.
Btw the reason why Mark is feelin' his members' performance is because he can hear it raw. That's why he removes his earpiece most of the time so he can hear the vocal lines sing. They can only hear the music in their earpiece, they dont hear the music when the earpiece is removed. So the rawness got Mark impressed more than before.

I think it's my time to say, Welcome to SMstand Club, The Sav Guard👍🤣 This is SM, never expect to find "normal sound or music" in SM's songs. Always be surprised. SM has talented artists. Now, you have proven to yourself NCT 127 vocal abilities are no joke. They have everything. I think DINGO KILLING VOICE is the best new ver. of NCT 127's song. I really hope they can make a special repackage of DINGO.
I suggest the track video & a lyrics video for lemonade as the track video is only half the song. "Who is that" is Doyoung he's one of NCT vocalist. He's got a ton of OST and covers.
The songs they chose are from an SM survey on Twitter about NCTZens favorite songs. The survey was sent mostly to longtime NCTzens and we listed our favorites, some of which the newer NCTzens haven’t heard. They ended with 2 Baddies which is the newest album( not including the Ay-Yo repackage). The members could only hear music no lyrics so Mark was listening to the music.

You've got to react to Limitless (I like the Japanese version of the MV better. You can compare tho if u want. Also NCT 127's Highway to Heaven (english version which is also filmed in the US). You'll feel a sense of deja vu in this song like you've heard ot before. :) Some of the songs you're interested in are b-sides. I actually love their b-sides so much Lemonade is fire. The best hiphop choreography in my opinion
